Hollywood on Parade No. A-7 (1933)

** 1/2 (out of 4)

This episode of the popular series once again features no real plot but instead we get to see some famous faces. This short appears to have been put together out of scraps because there's really not too much here in the very short running time. We get a small clip with Ken Maynard but the real highlight are two musical performances. Jeanette MacDonald does a short version of "Love Me Tonight" while Maurice Chevalier does "Louise." It's interesting to note that the Chevalier clips was actually a screentest from 1929 that was shown here, which of course is of great interest to fans of the actor. Overall there's certainly nothing ground-breaking here but if you're a fan of the stars on display then it's certainly worth watching.
