Broker is an office comedy set in the high-stakes world of Los Angeles commercial real estate, where Jules, a former actor, struggles to succeed while maintaining her integrity and her creative spirit. The show takes place in and around the offices of Seymour Commercial, a small but successful firm run by Ted Seymour, a self-styled motivational speaker who remains gleefully oblivious to the absurdity of his guidance. Jules is the odd-woman-out here: a former theater major surrounded by businesspeople, a broke bus-rider surrounded by Teslas, a couch-surfer amidst millionaires. Here, Jules works with an assortment of chauvinists, buffoons and sharks, including the slick, ruthless brothers Chip and Connor, who haze her mercilessly until she proves herself worthy; Gary, an oafish agent for whom the office is an escape from his wife and infant twins; and Gloria, the acerbic office manager who becomes Jules' ally and confidant as she rises through the ranks.
