Alright this first little paragraph isn't about the movie but it's still worth a read. Right, so every now and then my dad tells me that one of his work mates have lent him a DVD. I start to sigh (I sigh because the films he borrows are usually terrible) and somehow I get stuck watching them with him. So recently the idea came into my head that I should 'IMDB' movies first before I watch them and if the film gets 7stars or higher I'll watch it. Somehow this film got 7! So this prompted me to write this review and if more people did this we would have a more accurate reviewing system.
So the problem about this movie is that it was greatly predictable. If you like these types of movies then go for it, but in my opinion it's an hour and a half of your life wasted what your not gonna get back. We watched the first 20 minutes and let it off at some bits what you think wouldn't happen, but then it carries on and gets worse. Me and my dad usually give films two chances before we take them out of the player. It's an epic unrealistic movie.
For some reason the guy seems to act like Ned Flanders and takes loads of crap off the teenagers who he encounters at the beach. Later on he takes even more abuse off them and his girl friend doesn't back him up at all. The teenagers are about 13 and maybe one or two are 16. This film is so annoying because you keep thinking what you'd do in that sort of situation and the film makes the lead guy way to forgiving for his own good. Actually even Ned Flanders would lose patience with them.
Me and my dad lost patience with the film and took it out after about three quarters of an hour. It left us feeling angry and annoyed. I'm glad we didn't watch the end because it was most probably disappointing. The film had great camera footage and decent acting, but it still wasn't enough to save it. Unfortunately it had a weak story line which was full of holes. Maybe I'm a harsh critic but this film is seriously not worth watching.
