In both "Machete" and "Spy Kids", Danny Trejo plays a character named Machete" Both films were written and directed by Robert Rodriguez. Also, underneath the title screen in the original Grindhouse trailer, it is registered to 'Machete's Body Shop', which was the name of the Spy Kids character's business in the original film.
