Did You Know?

Ron asks Kim at the end of the episode whether her water skiing over a shark was a dream. This is a reference to "jumping the shark", or continuing a show after many people feel it should have ended. Because Kim denies this (by hanging up the phone) the creators are saying that Kim Possible is not over and that this is not jumping the shark. See more »

Kim Possible: [about her battlesuit] Sorry, Professor, I'm not wearing it.
Professor Dementor: Do you think that I am fooled by your mouthful of lies? "No" is the correct answer!
Kim Possible: [indicates her cheerleading outfit] Hello? Does it *look* like I'm wearing full-body armor?
Professor Dementor: [confused] Well... well, no, now that you mention it. And yet my instruments very clearly say the suit is here. With that, what is up?

The Return of the Kim
20 February 2007 | by Ddey65See all my reviews

The executives of Disney must not have realized that one of the cartoons on their primary cable TV network had a cult following among kids and adults until it was too late. It took a massive petition(and arguably the expulsion of Michael Eisner) to get them to break the 65-episode barrier and add a fourth season. Now it's here for the fourth and probably final season. Dr. Drakken isn't the only villain on the show, and he was never intended to be. This episode features his rival Professor Dementor(Patton Oswalt), who had his own evil plan foiled by Kim & Ron, and becomes fixated on pursuing that little present from "So the Drama," known as Kim's super-suit. So does Ron, when Bonnie tries to give Kim the idea that as a cheerleader she should only date jocks. This is made worse when he overhears a conversation between his new girlfriend and Monique indicating that Bonnie was right... about something else.

While the super-suit is cool, it does tend to contradict the idea of an ordinary girl defeating super-villains. Thankfully, the focus on their relationship doesn't lean into soap opera territory. Unfortunately, Ron seems a little *too* goofy in this episode. Other girls would've dumped him like a hot-potato for much less(trust me, I know what I'm talking about).

During one scene, Kim & Ron hold each other so close, it's amazing the episode has a G-rating. Speaking of pushing the envelope, there's the gruesome opening scene, which was used in promos going back to New Year's Eve. Aside from all that, it's still a fresh start to their senior year, which for Kim includes ruining the fiendish plots of Dementor, Drakken, Shego, the Seniors, and some new villains to come.
