Luke decides to give April a birthday party at the diner. Lorelai volunteers to help, and is hurt when Luke explains that he still thinks it's too soon for them to meet. However, Luke changes his mind when the party is a disaster, giving Lorelai a chance to bond with April. Meanwhile, Rory rushes to be with Logan at the hospital after he is seriously injured during a stunt with the Life and Death Brigade.
Did You Know?
When Rory is speaking with Colin and Finn after she arrives at the hospital she asks where Logan's family is. When she asks about Mitchum, Finn responds by saying in a questioning tone, "The Dark Lord?" This is likely a reference to Voldemort in the Harry Potter series, who is known for his evilness. Considering many characters' feelings toward Mitchum, the comparison makes sense. This episode aired roughly a year before the final book in the Harry Potter series was released. See more
The scene where Rory talks to Logan after Logan's father comes to see him is not shot in two different places. You see many lamps and other miscellaneous items in the background while they are talking, but these are all gifts and items that have been brought to Logan's hospital room. The background behind Logan's head is clearly the wall in the hospital room, which is why he still continues to say that they are in the hospital. The pull back shot at the end is also of them in the hospital room. See more
