Storyline

Satoshi goes to the Gym in Tokiwa City, but Shigeru gets in there before him and challenges the Gym Leader for his own satisfaction, as he has already won ten Gym Badges. The Gym Leader, the Rocket-Dan's commander Sakaki agrees to the fight, eventually using a never before seen Pokémon (Mewtwo), which the Pokédex cannot identify, to easily defeat Shigeru. the Rocket-Dan kidnaps and tries to give Togepi to Sakaki, but Sakaki thinks it is useless. Sakaki leaves the Gym and puts Musashi, Kojiro, and Nyarth in charge. Satoshi challenges them and after losing three of Sakaki's Pokémon, Musashi and Kojiro use their own. Togepi sends them blasting off with a Metronome attack, without Satoshi and his friends even realizing it, and Satoshi wins the Green Badge, his eighth and final badge.
