Among the best episodes of the series.

At least, that's my own opinion. And there are no sci-fi or fantasy elements here, but bizarre, oh yes. I have heard that Bob Conrad hurt himself during the shooting of one episode; I don't know which one. But during this episode he is wounded by a gun fire and then he limps during the rest of the episode. So I suppose that the screenplay took this gun fire as a pretext, a good reason, to justify Robert Conrad - Jim West - to limp; as Burt Lancaster in John Frankenheimer's THE TRAIN. That's a very unique topic for the show. Highly recommanded. I won't spoil any further.
