It takes place in juvenile delinquent schools where all conditions of education are worst than every where else; underpaid instructors, overcrowded rooms, everything leading to juvenile delinquency. Jungle for every one, especially for teachers, not only pupils. Millions of dollars are allowed each year by the government, but only a few are used in that purpose: help the youth of the USA. So there too exists a racket, lead by corrupted head executives. Kevin McCarthy plays here a desperate teacher in love with his task, who seems very helpless facing all this. The young rebel character is also interesting too. Some lines here remind me BLACKBOARD JUNGLE and somewhat DEATH WISH. The story focuses more on the collateral effects of the corrupted school officials - juvenile ferocity - than on the genuine problem: corruption. Exciting endind indeed.
Directed by William Conrad.
