Charlie goes to great length to protect Caitlin against her own utter incompetence when live talk-show host Regis Philbin gives her a shot at a childhood dream, acting as his assistant presenter. So Charlie must delegate to ever-bickering Paul and Stuart the delicate balancing of archaeological interest of presumed dinosaur bones and urgent public works, soon degenerating in ruthless rivalry to pose for the press as 'Indiana Bones'. The mayor takes his first holiday since his divorce, but stays in his Hawaian hotel room in video)contact with Carter, even at night. Written by KGF Vissers

The series still has charm

In this amusing episode, Caitlin has been invited to appear as a guest host on 'Live with Regis' and is looking forward to her appearance. It seems that back in high school Caitlin had a bad experience during a high school play which has left her scarred. If she can make the cut as a guest host, it will go a long way in making her feel better about the rest of her life. But as you can guess things do not go as planned.

There are two other side-plots going on behind the main story. One involves Stuart and Paul being in charge of an archaeological find inside the city. The two fight it out to see who can take the lead on discovering the bones with each wanting more credit than the other. --In a minor story, but what was possible the funniest part of the show, the Mayor is on vacation but still wants to know what is going on in the office. He sets up a video camera where he can see, and be seen, while he is away.

All the stories had some humorous parts which made for an interesting feel. From the Mayor on TV to Stuart being chained to a drink machine, the show was full of laughs. The segment where Caitlin finally gets the chance to shine, as part of Regis's show, is a well written and produced show. The lines were funny and acting excellent. It is ashame that more time could not be spent on that situation and other stories saved for another day. But as we know the series lets all the regulars have some input in each episode thus having to juggle three tales at one time. Sometimes less could be more. But overall a fine watch.
