When Lana is hit by an explosion of a gas pipeline in a field, she develops the power of clairvoyance from meteor-rock fragments where she has visions of an elusive serial kidnapper/killer and she sees Chloe Sullivan being kidnapped. Clark must rely on Lana's visions to find and rescue Chloe before she's killed. Meanwhile, Lex Luthor is visited by the despicable reporter Roger Nixon who convinces him to open again the investigation of the mysterious events surrounding the meteor shower of years ago when a witness reveals that something more came down during the meteor shower. Also, Clark ponders making plans to the school's spring formal dance by asking Chloe while Pete also as the same thoughts. Whitney tells Lana that he's thinking about leaving Smallville in the wake of his father's death.

Did You Know?
When Lana and Clark are talking at the Torch, Lana tells him that he won't have a future in journalism. This is a reference to the older Clark Kent that works at the Daily Planet as a journalist. See more
Spelling mistake - on an Eddie Cole ad that reporter gives to Lex is spelled "NOTHING TO LARGE, NOTHING TO SMALL" when it should probably be "NOTHING TOO LARGE, NOTHING TOO SMALL". See more
How are you holding up?
I keep wishing Chloe would just walk up those steps. I never appreciated how much she meant to me 'till now. The thought of never seeing her again...
Clark, you can't think that way.
You know I remember the first time I met her? It was eighth grade. She'd just transferred from Metropolis, and I was assigned to show her around. The first thing she wanted to know was where she could buy a copy of the Planet so she could keep in touch with civilization.
