Trivia

There is strong evidence The Last Temptation of Krust was intended to be a portrayal of the infamous comedian Bill Hicks. The black clothes, the smoking endlessly on stage, the style of his delivery and material all point to Krusty behaving like Hicks. However, this was not a complete emulation of him since he eventually capitulates to endorsing the Canyonero and Bill Hicks was highly critical of anyone already in the public eye endorsing any product whatsoever.
