"Say Your Prayers You Heathen Baboons!!"
25 February 2009 | by jerekraSee all my reviews

"In Marge We Trust" is a great episode from season 8 and also a very under rated one. It further develops the character of Reverand Lovejoy, a character who never has had an episode revolve around him up until this point. It shows how he began to lose some of his passion due to continuous calls from Ned Flanders. Marge takes his calls for him and develops a knack for giving good advice to people as "the listen lady". This is an episode where Marge's good advice is listened to by people. Also in this episode Homer finds a Japanese detergent company that has his picture on their products. SO there is character development as well as some puzzling event. However the highlight of the episode is when Ned is trapped in the baboon section of the zoo and Lovejoy comes to his rescue. That is easily one of the best scenes in Simpsons history and probably the best scene that does no involve an member of the simpson family in it. Just awesome. So this is easily both a deep and entertaining episode that is one of the best from season 8, which says a lot because season 8 was one of the better seasons. Highly recommended.
