Rudolph Anders and Dick Rich
28 July 2016 | by kevinolzakSee all my reviews

"Land" is up for grabs in a courtroom, with Johnny Yuma providing the critical evidence to support the rightful ownership of corn farmer Frank Gottwald (Rudolph Anders), despite protests from crooked cattle rancher Dan Hauser (Dick Rich, last seen as a similar character in "School Days"). Content to settle out of court, Hauser allows Gottwald to walk a section of his property to claim as his own, but he must return to the starting point before nightfall to succeed. Dogging both Gottwald and Yuma is Hauser's taunting foreman (Charles Maxwell, later seen in "The Burying of Sammy Hart"), whose orders are to see that the ailing soil farmer doesn't come back alive. Ross Elliott, busy veteran of more than 300 movies and TV shows, would be back for "Explosion."
