Sometimes There are Things Unseen That We Can't Control
I really liked this episode. It tells the story of some scientists who have managed to enter the psyches of mentally ill patients and view the issues that are part of their psychoses. Things are going successfully until a couple of problems occur. One is a failed effort to find the cause of the incredible depression of the University chancellor's daughter. The second, the inability to return one of the participants in the experiment from his subconscious state. One of the scientists must try to re-enter that state to pull the man she loves back to consciousness. The little girl is also a puzzle to everyone. The problem is that the chancellor has closed the lab and stopped them from doing their work and great risks, possibly to life itself, are set in motion. For me, this was a really satisfyingly written offering.
