The above comment, made by Herman, along with a lot of other humorous statements, made this a fun episode to watch, and hear. For instance, Herman says he has "a Steve McQueen" image." and he uses exclamations like "gadzooks" and "wizard," (as in "that's a wizard idea."). If you want to know some of the expressions kids used in the early '60s, watch this show. Herman, in attempts to fit in with his son's crowd, will always employ them. (In a recent episode, he said, "Oh, that's boss!).

Anyway, Frontier Days are to be staged over the weekend in town. Eddie enters his dad into the bucking bronco contest! Eddie bragged about his dad to his friends and to the rodeo people so now Herman feels obligated.

The rodeo people believe the kid, too. They think "this Munster guy" must be a great rider and they don't want anybody to ride off with the $500 prize money they are offering to anyone who can do the job. To be on the safe side, they put Herman on "Volcano," a bronc nobody can ride.

Anyway, Grandpa, as usual, offers the easy way out with a chemical concoction. Why not make a pill which will transform me, he says, into a horse and you can ride me and not worry about being injured. After several failed experiments (a donkey and a pig), the third pill is a charm and Grandpa is a meek and talking horse!

However, things don't work out as planned at the rodeo.....but with surprising results. I won't say more to spoil the ending.

Overall, this is another entertaining episode. The second season, so far, seems to be more entertaining than the first. The initial season was very good, but this is even better.
