Arthur Moves Out
14 December 2016 | by JordanThomasHallSee all my reviews

Arthur's (Wynn Irwin) fellow slovenly friend Monroe (character actor Alan Oppenheimer) comes to visit the Belmont family. Monroe and Stanley (Dom DeLuise) instantly take a dislike for another. Monroe exhibits Arthur's traits and when he insinuates he is going to stay there, Stanley throws him out. Arthur threatens to do the same and Stanley happily obliges with a loud "bingo". Arthur's wife Olive (Beverly Sanders) wants Arthur back in the Belmont household. Stanley agrees to go and apologize to Arthur to please Olive and his mother (Kathleen Freeman). Monroe insists that first Arthur must get his room painted and his own ice box (mini-fridge). Stanley takes enough and finally blows up. Olive leaves to move in with Arthur at Monroe's. He agrees to go back to Monroe's to patch things up after the ad nauseam "do I have a son, or do I not have a son?" routine. When talks fail at Monroe's, Stanley wants to leave and reverses the routine to "do I have a mother, or do I not have a mother?" Arthur and Olive may re-think their situation, but perhaps aren't the only ones coming home.
