This Laramie story has Jess Harper acting as a deputy sheriff when he gets a note from his sister Jacqueline Scott whom he thought dead in a diphtheria plague. She wants to bury her late husband Jim Davis, but he's not dead. It's a ruse to throw off the Keefer brothers, a bottom feeding trio of pecker-woods played by Ron Hayes, L.Q. Jones, and Andy Romano.

Robert Fuller has an honest and tough face and these kind of ruses well intentioned they might be are just not in his nature. You know there will be a showdown with the Keefers and a loss of any or all of them will not be mourned by many.

The scenes with Scott and Fuller are quite well done and truly show a reuniting of brother and sister. And we learn about Jess Harper's background, just a bit.
