Storyline

House's ex-girlfriend Stacy Warner returns-not for House but to get help for her ailing husband, Mark. While House decides whether or not to take her case, Cuddy forces him to present a lecture to a class of medical students. As he weaves the stories of three patients who all present with a similar symptom, House gives a lecture the students will never forget - he discusses three past cases, one of which is more than meets the eye. Goofs

[Around 0:41:00] When Stacy asks Cuddy whether she can take a medical decision for the patient, House, that of opting for a surgical intervention to treat his leg, which is completely different from what House had implicitly wanted even in Dr Cuddy's presence, Cuddy replies in the affirmative that it is possible for Stacy to do so as his health-care proxy. However, the American medical laws clearly state that a doctor can not accept a health-care proxy's decision that, in his views, is different from the patient's previously stated advance directive for the event that he becomes incompetent to take his own decisions. In such a scenario, the doctor can either go ahead and honour the patient's original advance directive, thus overruling the health-care proxy's wishes, or consult the hospital's ethics committee, or ask for a court order in case it is not an emergency. bogus episode
29 September 2018 | by sandcrab277See all my reviews

The information about the poisonous snakes in this episode are not correct ... timber rattlers in jersey are more like garder snakes, very tiny and coral snakes could only bite you between the fingers ... copperheads are plenty big and capable of a dangerous bite but they thrive in really damp places like under old mattresses or cardboard in the wild ... none would generally be found in a grassy field on a farm ... there are eastern diamondback rattlers found in new jersey that are comparable to the western diamondback in size and potency ... none of the venoms are lethal but could cause vascular problems ... junk episode as a time waster
