Trespasser Tyrone Lovey and his shotgun cause headaches for Doris and the ranch.
Buck and the boys are in bed with colds. Still, they can't help but get out of bed when Billy wants to tend to what looks like an injured duck, which Buck confirms when he finds some buckshot embedded in the duck itself. As it is outside of hunting season, this shooting is considered poaching, especially as it would have been done on their property. LeRoy witnessed who is the culprit of the poaching: Tyrone Lovey. As Buck is in no condition to handle the matter, Doris, with LeRoy's help (what little of it he can provide), takes it upon herself to stop Lovey. But Doris will find that confronting Lovey and actually proving that he did anything illegal, or at least getting him to promise never to shoot anything on their property ever again, are two totally different matters.
