Storyline

Leary and Shannon confronting Officer Josie Hutchens about the double shooting of Curtis and Lisa leads to Josie fleeing, pulling her weapon and firing a shot, Leary pulling his gun and shooting blind, with ultimately Josie being shot to death. Leary and Shannon are in shock. Logistically, Leary and Shannon are taken off the double shooting case, Kosmo takes that case over and Kurtz herself leads the investigation of Josie's death. With Leary and Shannon, Leary takes the stance of a "I have nothing to hide" feeling and thus doesn't feel he needs any support, whereas Shannon is a little more pragmatic and uses the union's lawyer in his dealings. However, Shannon is not averse to bending the truth for his and Leary's benefits. This includes stealing some evidence which pisses off both Kosmo and Leary. Det. Rose Williams is on site as a union representative, and Det. Bobby Marlowe speaks to Leary as part of the internal trauma unit. Back at the morgue, Patricia conducts the autopsy due ...
