Harvey Dent's demon within
27 December 2016 | by Mr-FusionSee all my reviews

The first half of the 'Two-Face' double episode is no=-nonsense, to be sure. Harvey Dent's the picture of crusading nobility and it's not the demons he hides that's really sad; anger issues don't seem all that profound. It's that there's an evil presence pulling his strings and ultimately brings about calamity. In this case, it's Rupert Thorne, already a vile character, but his role in Dent's demise just makes him that more loathsome.

All of this has grand tragedy written all over it, and actually plays fairly obviously for most of the episode. But the best part - the monster's reveal - is saved for last. A beautifully executed moment.
