Trivia

Although Batman gave Robin a lecture about wearing seatbelts in season one, this is the first episode where we actually see the Caped Crusaders putting their seatbelts on while still in the Batcave. See more »

Goofs

While the Dynamic Duo are inside Catwoman's hot foot chamber, she mocks them by dropping an egg through a small trap door in the ceiling, to watch it fry on the hot grid at their feet. Although Catwoman's costume includes long-sleeved gloves, the hand that drops the egg through the ceiling is wearing a short cat glove, with a bare wrist. See more »

Julie Newmar isn't just pussyfooting around
17 May 2016 | by kevinolzakSee all my reviews

"Hot Off the Griddle" finds the return of Julie Newmar's Catwoman causing strange stirrings in Batman's utility belt, effortlessly flirting with the Caped Crusader even as she taunts him. It seems that her tastes do not include The Joker, due to his green hair, or The Penguin, too small for her, but she's definitely raising more than the stakes with the old bat. Accompanied by Gotham City's three best cat burglars, Catwoman gives the Dynamic Duo a hot foot before leaving them to fry to a crisp on the rooftop underneath the broiling hot sun, amplified by giant magnifying glasses. Look for Edy Williams as the hostess serving up catburgers at the Pink Sandbox (later seen as one of Liberace's ladies in "The Devil's Fingers"/"The Dead Ringers"). Lee Meriwether made a perfectly serviceable Catwoman in the character's second appearance in the 1966 feature film, but Julie reclaims the role throughout the second season, aided and abetted by the writing of Stanley Ralph Ross.
