Goofs

The Alturus star system is described as 85 billion miles from Earth. That wouldn't even get you to the Oort Cloud. It's still part of our solar system. The nearest star, Proxima Centauri, is about 25 trillion miles away. These distances were known in 1985. See more »

Bewildered Teens in Space
2 June 2014 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

An outcast kid goes to school every day and gets the treatment from the bullies. He has a nice girlfriend who understands all this. His father is an inventor. He has a machine that makes eggs any way you like them pushing a button. It works some of the time. When the girlfriend blows a fuse, fooling around with some gizmo, the kid goes down to flip the circuit breaker. While in the basement, he pushes a button that opens a pathway to a group of amazing machines. Apparently, it is a walkway to the starts, to a planet where they actually came from I think if they had played on the father's nerdiness and occasional incompetence it would have worked. Unfortunately, the acting is dreadful and there is little suspense. Everything is wrapped up in a neat package and that's that.
