More than 10 years after her last acting gig, Jamie Lynn Spears is ready for her close-up once again. The Zoey 101 star—and kid sister to Britney Spears—has joined the cast of the Netflix series Sweet Magnolias. The streamer confirmed the news in a tweet. In the show based on Sherryl Woods' book series, Spears will play Noreen Fitzgibbons, a young woman who sets out to build a new life for herself following a series of not so great choices. Following a year that has made her a household name after her breakout role in “Girls Trip,” Tiffany Haddish has no plans of slowing down.

With current roles in “The Last Og” and “Uncle Drew,” and soon starring in “Night School” and “Nobody’s Fool,” the funnywoman has a full schedule and even bigger dreams on the horizon. At Hollywood Confidential’s An Evening with Tiffany Haddish in Los Angeles on Friday night, the star told Variety that down the line, “I want to get my production company up and running, be able to provide a lot of jobs for people that actually have talent and skill, I want to still open up those streets — get two streets that intersect called Tiffany and Haddish — open up that youth center, that job placement center, that art center, that mental health center. I really want to give everyone a chance to be their selves.

The Thundermans: Nickelodeon Orders Season Two

Nickelodeon is sticking with their family of superheroes. The cable channel has picked up a second season of The Thundermans for another 20 episodes.

Eight episodes of the current season have aired so far, leaving 12 to go. The next original installment airs Saturday, January 4th, at 9pm.

The Voice’s zaniest coach Cee Lo Green is given to rocking jumpsuits that look like they’re made of Muppets and stroking his stuffed cat Purrfect. Does that make him crazy? Possibly. But when Green showed up for a guest stint on Nick’s How to Rock (airing tonight at 8 p.m. Et), he was surprisingly understated, donning a plain black T-shirt and relatively few flashes of bling. “I’m used to seeing him in big, colorful feathers and all these crazy outfits,” laughs the show’s 15-year-old star Cymphonique Miller, “and he was really down-to-earth with his outfits when he came on set.

Veteran character actor Steve Landesberg dies

Steve Landesberg may have been best known for his role as the intellectual and sometimes annoying Detective Sgt. Arthur Dietrich on the long-running 1970s cop comedy "Barney Miller."

But younger audiences knew him too - for a slew of recent parts such as the doctor on the 2008 hit movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

The veteran actor died Monday at age 65, his agent, Jeffrey Leavitt, told The Associated Press. The cause of death wasn't released.

Landesberg appeared in dozens of TV shows, his curly haired, bespectacled face easily recognizable. Recent credits included "Everybody Hates Chris," ''Just Jordan," ''That 70s Show" and "American Dad."

The Naacp has announced it's 40th Annual Image Awards nominations. In the film category, Cadillac Records, The Secret Life of Bees, Miracle at St. Anna, Seven Pounds and Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys" have been nominated.

The TV network with the most nominations? ABC with 24 total!

The awards night will be televised on Fox, Feb. 12 from the Shrine Auditorium.
