Brilliant, but socially inept, forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperence Brennan works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington DC. After consulting for him on a FBI case, she is approached by cocky yet charming Former Army Ranger turned Special Agent, Seeley Booth to help the Bureau solve crimes by identifying human remains that are too far gone for standard FBI forensic investigations. Brennan's empirical, literal view of the world causes friction with Booths emotive, instinctive attitude creating a volatile relationship. However as their case load increases the symbiotic partnership produces results and with the support of Brennan's Squint Squad, murderers, past and present should be on the look out.
There are 206 bones in the human body... And any one of them can be used to solve a murder.

Did You Know?
Almost every time Booth is in front of the camera, he has on him a watch, his F.B.I. ID, a holstered sidearm, a Zippo lighter, Craps dice, a one hundred dollar poker chip, a floaty pen (the type where a girl's clothes fall off when you turn it upside down), 3"x5" index cards and his light brown sunglasses, and he is wearing a St. Christopher medal. All of these items can be spotted being handled by Booth throughout the series. See more
Several times throughout the series, Brennan mentions Booth's claim that he is a direct descendant of John Wilkes Booth. That would be impossible, according to ancestry sites John Wilkes Booth had no children of record, and only one of his brothers had a son who survived to adulthood, and the direct male Booth line died off after that generation. Only a few Booth sisters had sons with other surnames. See more
