A collection of film clips of song performances from 1950s black and white TV shows, including the Colgate Comedy Hour. Dean and Jerry Lewis team up for a customized version of You'll Never Get Away in 1953, which had been a hit for the duo of Teresa Brewer and Don Cornell. One clip is a medley of "Good Old Songs" sung by Dean and Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. It starts with By the Old Mill Stream and The Old Gray Mare, and continues through to Old Man River. I'd guess this was on the Sinatra TV series. Two of his young daughters appear with him, in Money Burns a Hole in My Pocket and Pennies From Heaven. Some good songs from his records of the time which you might not otherwise hear, like I Like Them All (1955) and Mambo Italiano. The video originates from 1950s kinescopes, which were first transferred to videotape, and then to this DVD.
