As far as cheap German knock-offs to "Scream" go, this is probably as good as they're ever going to get. I just assume so, because I really can't be bothered with checking. Sure, this has the most wooden acting ever captured on celluloid, and the thick accents pretty much everybody has are annoying as hell, but this can all be forgiven because it's still pretty entertaining. A lot of people die violent, gory deaths, none of that PG-13 crap the American market is overflown with. The killer does some serious damage here. The pace is very fast, the mystery is at least somewhat compelling, the girls (particularly Elena Uhlig) are all pretty hot, what more can you really expect from this movie? "Swimming Pool" is not a good movie, but it's remarkably easy to watch it all the way through.
