Hot Money (1935)
- Summaries (2)
A thief on the run dumps some hot money in Thelma and Patsy's lap.
Thelma and Patsy are flatmates who face eviction in a few hours. Thelma's out of ideas and leaves it to Patsy, who rubs an oil lamp and wishes for $50,000. Into their flat bursts a thief who says he's being pursued by Trigger Louie; he throws a money belt with $50,000 to Patsy and says he'll be back in an hour. He splits, Trigger Louie catches up with him, and bam! Louie hides, the cops arrive, and the gals wonder what to do. Guns, a fold-down bed, the body, a fire escape, and a dim-witted cop figure in the resolution.
