Zooey Deschanel’s 10 Most Memorable Roles

Zooey Deschanel kicked off her acting career in 1999, debuting in the comedy film Mumford. 'Han Solo' Spinoff Is Lawrence Kasdan's Last 'Star Wars' Movie
Aside from George Lucas, one of the most important figures in the legacy of Star Wars is arguably Lawrence Kasdan. The filmmaker made his screenwriting debut on 1980's Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, co-writing the script with Leigh Brackett, and he returned to co-write Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi with George Lucas himself. More than 30 years later, he returned to co-write Star Wars: The Force Awakens with J.J. Abrams, and he is also writing the Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo Movie with his son Jon Kasdan, which is set for release on May 25, 2018. During a new interview with the German newspaper Bild (translated by The Supernaughts), the writer revealed that the Han Solo Movie will be his last Star Wars film.

"This is my last film for this saga. I did not even want to do this last one anymore, but my family loved the idea.

The ITV show, which has earned the most Emmy nominations of any non-us show in history, will again compete against glossy American dramas such as House of Cards, Game of Thrones and Mad Men for the accolade of outstanding drama series.

Peter Bradshaw has file his thoughts on the Globes. Here’s a snippet:

It’s the Globes! Hardly any institution has benefitted more from the rise of the awards-season and the predominance of celebrity culture. Once mocked for being the rackety and faintly preposterous creation of Hollywood’s grandly-titled Foreign Press Association, the Globes is now not just a curtain-raiser for the Oscars, but an event which visibly luxuriates in being

Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford and Jim James channel Bob Dylan in new song
Bob Dylan has written more songs than even he could ever record. After discovering nearly two dozen never-recorded lyrics written by Dylan during his exceptionally prolific "Basement Tapes" period in the late '60s, award-winning producer T-Bone Burnett has put together an all-star band to marry the lyrics to new music. The band includes Mumford and Sons' Marcus Mumford, My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James, Elvis Costello, Dawes, Carolina Chocolate Drops’ Rhiannon Giddens, and more. The result is the upcoming tribute album "Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes," and you can hear a taste of it below, with the animated lyric video for the Costello-led "Married to My Hack." Watch the video here: And take a listen to "Nothing to It," with James on lead vocals, here. Why Inside Llewyn Davis doesn't get inside the Village

The Coen Brothers movie is immersed in the folk scene of the early 60s in Greenwich Village, where boho survivors still recall the glory days – and lament a few of the film's flaws

Fifty years ago, the tenements, bars and coffee houses of Greenwich Village were the centre of a hip, bohemian society of beatniks and folkniks. That society has long dispersed, most of its landmarks erased by the onslaught of chain stores and fast food outlets. But enough of the Village remains intact that, by squinting in the Arctic freeze last week, it was almost possible to picture a 21-year-old Bob Dylan with his girlfriend, Suze Rotolo, braced against the cold in February 1963 for the covershot of the great Freewheelin' Bob Dylan acoustic LP.

It's not unusual to see couples re-enacting that pose on the corner of West 4th and Jones Street, says Mark Sebastian, a neighbourhood activist, musician

James Purefoy's favourite TV

We quiz The Following and Rome man on his televisual gongs and pongs

Unmissable show?

Game Of Thrones. I like TV when it grabs you by the throat and Game Of Thrones does that every single time. I'm a big fan of Zooey Deschanel in New Girl. Why she doesn't win every award for comedy going I have no idea. She's the Audrey Hepburn of our age.

Earliest TV memory?

I remember sitting down to watch Bill and Ben in the Flowerpot Men, as well as the inestimable Andy Pandy. I saw some online recently. How it managed to entrance a bunch of five-year-olds is beyond me, because a) it's incredibly dull and b) it's appallingly done. Just the very idea that my kids would have watched anything like that… they would have laughed at it.

I cried when…

I spent a lot of my free time when I was
