Ann, who narrates the entire movie, is an aspiring actress who joins her sister Sally in New York City. Sally poses in the nude for art classes; she meets Bob, a young artist, and they become engaged. Bob introduces Ann to his friend Charles, a writer, and the two are immediately attracted. Ann eventually decides, however, that Charles is a confirmed bachelor, and she concentrates on establishing her career. She makes the rounds of theatrical agencies without success; in desperation, she answers an advertisement for a photographer's model and meets Mark, a smooth-talking agent who devotes his energies to finding her jobs. Her poses become increasingly revealing, but she continues to be treated with respect. Mark eventually presents Ann with an invitation to what seems to be a normal party given by the influential Lil Duncan. This event proves to be the breaking point for Ann.

Everyone Paints in the Nude, No?
26 January 2020 | by arfdawg-1See all my reviews

For me there was only one reason to watch this movie -- and that't the shots of NYC in the 60s. Fascinating to me. Steal sandwich for 65 cents! The World Trade center wasnt even built yet. All the cars on teh street look like they're from the 50's ad there's no traffic!

It looks like this was filmed largely on the upper east side of Manhattan. There's a side trip to Coney Island when it was still safe to go there.

The older sister has huge juggs. The sister who will get traumatized, not so much. They should have switched roles. The filming is largely silent with a voice over track.

It's a well-filmed, but not good, movie.
