Storyline

This movie finds Henry "Indiana" Jones, Jr. (Sean Patrick Flanery) vagabonding around the South Pacific on a treasure hunt for a fabled lost diamond. The war in Europe ends, but a new adventure begins for Indy when a mysterious man's dying words, "The eye of the peacock." send him and Remy Baudouin (Ronny Coutteure) on a thrilling treasure hunt for one of Alexander the Great's most prized possessions. Pursued by a dangerous one-eyed man, Indiana follows the trail of the diamond from London to Alexandria to the South Seas, where he has a run-in with a murderous band of Chinese pirates. The shipboard battle that ensues is a spectacular display of swords, guns and flying fists. Marooned by the pirates on a remote desert island, Indiana is captured by savage headhunters, but before they can turn him into a shrunken head and cannibal stew, he is rescued by anthropologist Bronislaw Malinowski (Sir Tom Courtenay), and makes a life-altering decision. Trivia

Henry "Indiana" Jones, Jr. (Sean Patrick Flanery) mentions taking part in an archaeological dig in Jerusalem about ten years earlier. This refers to an unmade episode of the third season of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (1992), that would have been called "Jerusalem, June 1909", and was supposed to see Indiana's first meeting with his future mentor Abner Ravenwood (who was mentioned in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)). Just before this, Indy mentions a different dig in Egypt. This one was depicted in The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones: My First Adventure (2000). See more »

It's The TV Version of the Films
8 January 2020 | by Fields201See all my reviews

I like this one because it's the closest I've seen in the series that is like the Indiana Jones Films. I would love to see more episodes like this.

So Young Indy and his friend Remy come home from the war and with a map and some dying soldier telling them about the eye of the peacock, they decide to go treasure hunting.

They meet a girl and get into some hi jinks as they are following some one eyed man that they get into fights with. There's a pretty cool fight on the boat with a bunch of pirates. Then the film goes pure Lucas on an island as they are captured by natives. Then Indy meets some guy who teaches him that he doesn't need the diamond which negates his fortune of glory in Temple of Doom.

This is an action packed thrill ride with a wonderful score by Steven Bramson. Some say the last third is boring since there's no longer any action but I liked the performances here and this is technically the last you see of Remy in the timeline. I wish there was a third season to flesh out the story. It's a great series!
