Contrary to what some believed, Frances Ruffelle revealed in an August 1, 2010 interview with Elizabeth Sanderson of the Daily Mail's "Femail" section that she was never asked to reprise her role as Eponine in this concert. Though maintains that she has always stayed on really good terms with Cameron Mackintosh, and was eventually invited to take part in Les Misérables in Concert: The 25th Anniversary (2010).

Michael Maguire won the 1987 Tony Award (New York City) for Supporting or Featured Actor in a Musical for "Les Miserables" as Enjolras and recreated his role in this production.

Lea Salonga, who plays Eponine here, later played Fantine in Les Misérables in Concert: The 25th Anniversary (2010). Jenny Galloway played Madame Thénardier in both concerts.
