This spin-off of Disney's Hercules (1997) follows Hercules' many labors during the years he spent training how to be a hero under the tutelage of satyr Philoctetes. Olympian Gods and Goddesses, as well as Hades and Pegasus, often visit him.
Aladdin, the clever hero of Agrabah, continues his adventures with the help of his fiancee Princess Jasmine, his pet monkey Abu, Magic Carpet, Iago the greedy parrot, and of course his best friend the semi-cosmic Genie.
The lovable warthog Pumbaa and his meerkat buddy Timon carry on the "Hakuna Matata" (no worries) lifestyle, which can get them into plenty of jungle trouble. Watch these two friends from "The Lion King (1994)" as they travel on funny African adventures. Simba even stops by for a visit from time to time.Written by
Current international broadcasts crop the entire series to the 16:9 widescreen format, However, the Disney+ streaming in North America retains the series in its original 4:3 full screen format. See more »
This television show's been brought back to the Disney Channel. I saw it for the first time not too long ago, and I must say I was somewhat disappointed, though my judgment is biased.(I love The Lion King, so I guess I had high expectations.) But, this show's animation isn't exactly what I'd call good. It's basically Ren and Stimpy, but to my TLK-obsessed dismay, with Timon and Pumbaa.
Criminal Quint is painfully annoying. It's my opinion that they should have used a more Lion King-related villain, such as a lion or hyena, but I guess I'm just being picky.
A few jokes were funny, I have to admit. I just think that it could use a tad less slapstick jokes, and incorporate the original movies a little more.
4/10. I've seen worse, but it's not exactly Grammy material...
