Industrialist Carl Ziktor's virtual alter-ego Grimlord worked on the creation of an army made of warrior robots. And, before he became missing for two years, Ryan Steel's father worked with Professor Hart to prevent Grimlord's efforts by developing the ultimate weapon using the most advanced technology man had ever seen to stop him. Now, with the help of his friends J.B. and Kaitlin, Ryan and his friends use the VR power to prevent Grimlord's army from crossing over into our reality from Virtual Reality--and ruling it. However, will Ryan ever find his father?Written by

Doctor Hart was originally a computer-generated likeness of Albert Einstein, rather than a middle-aged black man, programmed by Ryan's dad. However, when the series came out the story was changed, and Professor Hart was the "soul" of Dr. Steele's partner, preserved in the computer's memory. Evidence from this early, primitive version of the show can be seen at the end of the 'Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' official fan club video. The footage that appears on some Power Rangers tapes seems to have come from an unaired pilot which included a CGI Hart who looked like Einstein. Also, Kaitlin Star's name was to be Kaitlin Hall. VR Troopers was 1 of many cashing in projects by the Saban & Levi money factory. The stars of this show fought a slightly more realistic but still, far too melodramatic battle against some of the most extravagant cardboard boxes ever made.
Of course, not just the enemies were made of cardboard, true to the success-formula of power rangers, fortresses, vehicles and anything else you can't find anywhere else in the human world were made for a few nickles, and merchandised for thousands and thousands of dollars.
So my conclusion is pretty much my title, because even though it was lame... it wasn't as lame as the Power Rangers.
