‘The Simpsons’ Celebrates 30 Years of ‘Treehouse of Horror’ in 60 Seconds (Video)
Tonight, “The Simpsons” airs its 666th episode; and fittingly enough, it is the show’s 30th annual “Treehouse of Horror” Halloween special.

To commemorate the milestone, Fox released a special 60-second sizzle reel showing the history of the beloved Halloween tradition, which began in 1990 with a ghoulish episode in which Bart and Lisa tell each other scary stories in their treehouse while Homer spies on them. Set outside the show’s canon, the special quickly became known for being far more violent than most of the show’s other episodes.

When it revolves around Peter and Lois, it’s a dark satire about a failing marriage. When it revolves around Peter, Joe, Cleveland, and Quagmire, it’s a buddy comedy. And when it revolves around Brian and Stewie, it can be pretty much anything. It can be a sci-fi story about time travel or dimension-hopping; it can be a road trip story in the mold of the old Bob Hope/Bing Crosby movies, or it can be something else entirely. So, here are Brian And Stewie’s 10 Craziest Adventures.

David Oyelowo and Jane Lynch Bring Humor and Heft to ‘Inside the Actors Studio’
James Lipton may have retired, but his spirit lives on in the new season of “Inside the Actors Stduio.” The brilliant concept — actors and directors discuss their work in front of a live audience of eager young acting students — has attracted countless talents from across genres, including Lauren Bacall, Meryl Streep, Robin Williams, Tom Hanks, and the entire main voice cast of “The Simpsons.”

For the first season sans-Lipton on its new home at Ovation (it previously aired on Bravo), the venerated series is changing up the format: Guests will now be interviewed by fellow actors or directors. The new season includes Laura Dern in conversation with Greta Gerwig; Al Pacino speaking to Ellen Burstyn; and Pedro Pascal interviewing Willem Dafoe. For this Sunday’s episode, “Inside the Actors Studio” has David Oyelowo sitting down with Jane Lynch.

A longtime fan of the series, Lynch jumped at the opportunity to host,

‘Bless The Harts’ Animated Comedy Renewed For Season 2 By Fox

  • Deadline
Fox has ordered a second season of its new half-hour animated comedy series Bless the Harts for premiere during the 2020-21 season. It marks the second freshman Fox series to get a pickup, following breakout new drama Prodigal Son, which got a full-season order with nine additional episodes.

Because of the nature of animated series, which need a long lead time, a back order for Bless the Harts was not an option, leaving renewal as the only pickup scenario.

Bless the Harts has not been a breakout and has done so-so retaining its The Simpsons lead-in. That is not unusual for animated comedy series; Fox’s Bob’s Burgers got off to an inauspicious start before becoming an Emmy-winning anchor of the network’s Sunday lineup. Fox brass are said to believe creatively in Bless the Harts, the first of a wave of new animated series ordered under Entertainment President

The Simpsons Season 31 Episode 4 Review: Treehouse of Horror XXX

This The Simpsons review contains spoilers.

The Simpsons Season 31 Episode 4

The Simpsons, season 31, episode 4, "Treehouse of Horror XXX," is the 666th episode of the series. This bodes well for their annual Halloween extravaganza. Not because it proves they sold their collective souls to a devilish cooperative to have lasted this long. But because it promises the most evil of offerings. Sadly, the episode gives us a very happy ending, which works as diabolical subversion.

The opening sequence, prior to the three official horror stories, is the most evil. "Treehouse" Maggie's mother died during childbirth and her father is listed as 10,000 maniacs, none of whom showed up at the hospital to claim her. This makes excellent use of a horror reference to push a punchline. Maggie's only drawback is she tested positive for evil.

Futurama: 10 Times The Show Was Funnier Than The Simpsons

It's always tricky when creators of a great TV show work on something else. Oftentimes, even when the second project is amazing in its own right, it will always live in the shadow of something else. Such is the case of Futurama, the brain-child of The Simpsons creator Matt Groening. Arguably one of the best shows of all time, The Simpsons have been on television for decades, and will probably stay for more to come.

Futurama often gets disregarded and pushed to the side, considered to be a cheap knock-off of The Simpsons. This is far from being true, and while Futurama might not be the funniest series of all time, it's definitely one of the smartest and most refined. In a flashback, it was revealed that Wiggums Sr. once dropped Ralph on his head when he was an infant, and, ever since then, Ralph has been a bit... strange. The Simpsons: 10 Funniest Ned Flanders Memes Only True Fans Will Understand

Ned Flanders, the nosy, very religious left-handed neighbor to the Simpson family on the long-running animated sitcom The Simpsons, is hi-diddly-ho-hilarious. While he’s often well-meaning, his heavy focus on his religious beliefs makes him a bit much to handle, as is his overly-positive and always cheerful attitude.

He is a devout Christian and is often quick to criticize the Simpsons for their devious, un-Godly behavior, even though he does so in the nicest way possible.

So, it comes as no surprise that the Internet has gone wild with funny memes featuring this mustached, green shirt-wearing resident of Springfield. Here are a few of the funniest ones we came across.

Here’s How Zoe Kravitz Could Look As Catwoman In The Batman

After months of speculating on who’ll be starring alongside Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight in The Batman, we can finally breathe a sigh of relief in knowing that Zoe Kravitz has been cast as the iconic Catwoman. Furthermore, it’s doubly satisfying to know she’s actually Selina Kyle, so we won’t have another misfire on our hands akin to 2004’s Catwoman flick.

Considering how we probably won’t get an official shot of Kravitz in full costume until we’re well into 2020, it’s nice that digital artist John Regan (ShatterverseEnt on Twitter) has allowed us to gaze into the crystal ball with his latest piece of digital art. If his name sounds familiar to you, it just might, as he’d previously supplied the best-looking mock-ups of Pattinson as Batman, not to mention conceptuals of Vanessa Kirby and Daisy Ridley as Catwoman before the part had been filled.

American Dad!: 10 Jokes That Have Already Aged Poorly

There are plenty of adult cartoon shows to go around. Some, like The Simpsons, take a more subtle approach to making us laugh, making good use of refined humor. Others, like South Park, are just outright offensive and shocking most of the time. And then we have American Dad!, another of comedy genius Seth MacFarlane's brainchildren.

In the style of his other show, Family Guy, American Dad! is raunchy, fun, and quite entertaining.
