Part live stand-up performance, part documentary, this film is one of comedian Richard Pryor's later stand-up performances. As foul-mouthed as ever, Pryor touches on most of the same topics as in his previous live shows.
Robin Williams performs his act in San Francisco's Great American Music Hall. Although he does do some of his more well known routines, much of the footage is devoted to Williams' frenetic, completely off the wall improvisation.
After achieving fame with Saturday Night Live and Beverly Hills Cop, Eddie Murphy released a film version of one of his live stand-up performances. Whether you like Eddie Murphy or not, his performance in "Raw" is quite a show. He's the first to admit to his profane language. But even without the dirty words, he can still entertain, as evidenced by his vocal impressions of Bill Cosby and Richard Pryor. And his song medley at the end is a hilarious finish!
