The first "CBS Schoolbreak Special" detailed the true story of John Louis Evans, a convicted murder who was sentenced to die by electrocution in Alabama. Days before Evans' execution on April 22, 1983, he gave permission to have a TV crew tape his life story, in which he detailed his crimes and more importantly (now having grown wiser, albeit too late) gave advice to teen-agers about making good choices and not falling into such things as drugs, theft and murder. Would like to purchase copy of this movie....
20 May 2007 | by mwhitcaliforniaSee all my reviews

Does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of this movie? I have checked with CBS and they said they have already deleted it from film and re-used it. I have been searching for a copy for years now and have not been able to find it anywhere. If anyone knows where I can get it, please advise.

I work with juvenile delinquents and find this movie totally and completely compelling and would like to use it in my counseling work. I feel that it is full of valuable instruction in the "first person" sort of way and feel that children everywhere should have the opportunity to see it and learn from it, in whatever way they can, to not make the same mistakes as Mr. Evans and Mr. Ritter had done.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
