Trivia

Kevin Bacon was offered the lead role but ended up choosing Footloose (1984) instead. At one point, Bacon was going to originally star in Dolan's Cadillac, another Stephen King story centered around a car. See more »

Goofs

At the very beginning of the movie we see the camera sweeping from a ventilator via a clock showing 12:45 to the assembly line. Christine can already be seen as she is the only red car in the line (the sixth car counting from the front). The following camera shots do not indicate any gap in time, so when the guy with the cigar dies in the car, it should be 1:00-1:30 latest. Yet, the dead body is not discovered until the bell rings at 5:00. At that time the assembly line seems not to have made any progress and Christine still plays "Not Fade Away". Somehow 4 hours are missing in the story line. See more »

Christine, The Car-Killer

"Christine" is remarkable and unforgettable feature from John Carpenter and it is difficult to find out who that has not seen this movie at least once. The classic story of a supernatural car that fall in love with its owner is not dated and has outstanding special effects for a 1983 movie. This is practically the first successful feature of the gorgeous Alexandra Paul and Keith Gordon and John Stockwell have great performances. My vote is eight.

Title (Brazil): "Christine, O Carro Assassino" ("Christine, The Car Killer")
