Rick Hunter is a renegade cop who breaks the rules and takes justice into his own hands. Partnered with the equally stunning and rebellious Sgt. McCall, the tough-minded duo set out to crack down on L.A.'s slimiest criminals.
In the tradition of other cop shows like "Miami Vice" and "Car 54, Where Are You?", this series is no exception. The viewer follows the exploits of T.J. Hooker and Vince Romano as police officers, as they track criminals and enforce the law.Written by

How anyone could call this the best cop show ever never looked at shows like Adam-12 and, the granddaddy of them all, Dragnet. At least those shows were based in fact. The cops on this show were made out to be super heroes and it wasn't very accurate. This is the main problem I have with cop shows produced in the 1970's. Hooker is played too much as a charicature and no depth. At least the cops on Adam-12, Dragnet and, more recently, N.Y.P.D. Blue and Law and Order are portrayed more as real people.
