Sex & Nudity

  • A man is seen in his boxer underwear.

  • A number of soldiers are showering in an outdoor shower area with buttocks and frontal views but showing very hazy detail and at a distance. There are two sex scenes. In other scenes, bare breasts are visible several times.

  • There is one scene where the main characters attend a boxing match, a couple of scenes featuring very mild "punch ups" and one scene where a New Year's Eve party is interrupted by a fairly vigorous fight involving white and black American soldiers brought about by black American soldiers dancing with white British women.   • In keeping with the era (1943/1944 war time), there are many scenes where adults are smoking cigarettes and a lesser number of scenes where adults are drinking alcohol. There are a couple of scenes which depict mild drunkedness. There is one scene where a child is playing with empty cigarette packets. There are no scenes or even suggestions of illicit drug taking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • None. The film generally deals tastefully with the clash of cultures and relationships between British locals and American soldiers.
