Trivia

(At around one hour and sixteen minutes) In the cat fight with the cobra scene, as the cat emerges from behind the wooden ladder, a twine tethered to the cat is visible. As the cat tries to run away, the twine stretches taught. This might explain why the cat would stay and fight the cobra, rather than run away. This would not be the first time a tethered animal is forced to fight a cobra in Hong Kong kung fu movies, as a monkey is seen tethered in the animal fight scene in The 36th Chamber: The Final Encounter (1982), starring Chia-Hui Liu. Quotes

[a preacher attacks Chien Fu with a sword]
Chien Fu: Huh? The preacher?
Russian: [laughs] I'm not any sort of priest. I come from Russia - I'm a fighter!
Chien Fu: You're what? You're not a priest?
Russian: Heh! The Eagle Claws have hired me - I'm to destroy the Snake Fist! And my master managed to trick you - into betraying your teacher. He'll have killed him by now!
Chien Fu: You lousy swine.
[they fight]

wonderful comedy
21 June 2003 | by bbbl67See all my reviews

Lots of fighting, done in a comical way. Just about every character in this movie are not too bright, which is perfect for a comedy of errors.

I have always preferred this comical way of handling martial arts better than the too serious Bruce Lee style.
