Storyline

Pop singer Vicki Robbins collapses from exhaustion while shooting the 1960s equivalent of a music video, and her physician prescribes a respite on Seagull Island with colleague and beekeeper Ralph Hargrove. Vicki finds the Hargroves' bitter marital strife oddly relaxing. But when a mysterious swarm of specially-bred attack bees starts killing island residents, Vicki fights for her survival, setting fire to nearly half the structures on the island in her escape. Why not The Deadly Wasps? Surely they would make more vicious killers?
20 February 2004 | by trouserpressSee all my reviews

This really isn't that bad a movie. I quite enjoyed it, but then I generally do with this kind of film. Suzanna Leigh may not be much of a singer, or an actress come to think of it, but she is beautiful and rescues this film from being a COMPLETE waste of ninety minutes.

There are some genuinely horrific moments, particularly the unpleasant death of the farmer's wife. But who is the deadly bee keeper? You'll probably figure it out within the first ten minutes, but try and play along at home anyway.
