Murder Ahoy (1964)
Miss Marple: Are you implying that I am unhinged?
Det. Insp. Craddock: No. No, of course not!
Miss Marple: Then what are you implying, pray?
Det. Insp. Craddock: Well, just that you are temporarily not yourself.
Miss Marple: Chief Inspector, I am *always* myself!
Miss Marple: Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead, Mr. Stringer!
Captain Rhumstone: [testily] One thing I can't stand is being disturbed when I'm curling my beard!
Miss Marple: [to Craddock] Embezzlement is one thing - proof of triple murder is another. Softly, softly catches monkey in a mousetrap.
Captain Rhumstone: [Unhappily noticing Miss Marple's dated naval attire as she boards his ship for the first time] Look at it. Will you look at it! Reefer jacket, brass buttons, tricorn hat. Who does she think she is, Neptune's mother?
Captain Rhumstone: [Addressing Inspector Craddock] Craddock, my friend. My dear Inspector friend. I don't care how you do it, but get her off my ship. I mean, trump up some charge if you like. I'm sure you're very good at that. You see, she's a jinx. She's a Jonah. She's blowing an ill wind!
Captain Rhumstone: [Last line of the movie] You know, the moment I clapped eyes on her, I said to myself: "What an old darling!"
Matron Alice Fanbraid: [Remembering his actual first response to Miss Marple's first appearance, raises her eyebrows archly]
