Good Sam (1948)
Ray Collins: Reverend Daniels
Rev. Daniels : He doesn't drink?
Lucille 'Lu' Clayton : No. Sometimes I wish he did.
Rev. Daniels : Gamble?
Lucille 'Lu' Clayton : No, but I'd prefer it to what he's doing.
Rev. Daniels : He isn't in love with somebody else.
Lucille 'Lu' Clayton : Yes. Everybody. He loves everybody. He's in love with the human race and even animals and bird life and fish. Why he wouldn't even swat a fly nor any of those... those leeches who cling to him. He just can't help helping people.
Rev. Daniels : And that's bad? Well, how does that affect your life?
Lucille 'Lu' Clayton : What life? Oh, alright. You say marriage is a case of give and take. Well, he gives everything away and I just have to take it. He's so sorry for people. He's his brother's keeper but he has too many brothers. He started with mine and he's built up from there.
