Tom, frustrated by his inability to catch Jerry, calls an exterminator to rid him of the elusive rodent. When he arrives, the professional mouse hunter turns out to be none other than alley cat Butch, who proves to be just as useless at trapping Jerry as Tom. And twice as destructive!
Six years after their first adventure (Puss gets The Boot), and Tom and Jerry seem to be in something of a rut: their last few adventures were strictly run-of-the-mill offerings that delivered the expected violence, but little in the way of anything new, and Trap Happy proves to be more of the same. Trap Happy gets a rating of 6/10 from me—not bad, but nothing special.
