Production line silent comedy plays quite well.

No longer an animator, Gergory La Cava soon to head up "She Married Her Boss," "Fifth Avenue Girl" and "Stage Door" was now doing live action features.

This agreeable bucolic comedy doesn't have the polish of the La Cava sound films but is one of the more enjoyable American features of it's day. Sale (Wellman's "Star Witness" and Ben Gunn in the Metro "Treasure Island") gets away with being the romantic lead and the rural setting is quite nicely caught, though standard for the time.

Best feature is the pyromaniac sub-plot which is good for one great laugh.
