A stunned Eric runs off, presumably because he is in disgust to host someone who is working for a company which was copied his designs for years. While Kirsten is proud of him for standing up to his work as a designer, Ridge is suspicious of Clarke's motive to unveil his fishy employer so soon. Later, Clarke explains to Eric that he will not tell anyone about their encounter in the hospital earlier. Brooke confesses to Caroline that she purposely kept Ridge's letter from her last year. Caroline is furious and accuses Brooke of purposely pushing her to marry Thorne so that she could have Ridge. Meanwhile, Rocco and Donna discuss the complex situation with Katie. In the hospital, Dr. Bailey removes Beth's bandages which proves to be a tough step for her. Katie tells Brooke about Mrs. Forrester's visit to their house. Brooke wonders why Stephanie came to visit, but is too excited about Beth coming home the next day to care. Meanwhile, Grandma Logan confronts Eric. She begs the designer no to interfere with Beth's marriage as her son had been fighting an inferiority complex ever since he found out that Beth and Eric were involved in college. Stephanie delivers the much sought photograph to Conway Weston's office and is glad to hear that he is close to finding Stephen Logan.

Conway tells Stephanie to prepare for the inevitable that he might be dead. Brooke and Storm discuss Grandma Logan's feelings, but still think Beth has a right to marry Eric. Ridge continues to work on his mass marketing collection and receives valuable input from Brooke, Margo and Rocco. He damps their enthusiasm, though, and hints that these designs might never see the light of day at Forrester Creations.
Stephanie confides in Clarke about the devastating news she received on the investigation. Thorne proudly shows Thorne her new office at Spencer Publications and breaks it to her husband that will work under her maiden name. Bill wants one of his finest art directors, Valerie Cooper, to work on his daughter's new magazine. Valerie is not interested at first, but changes her mind when she hears Caroline's ideas. He warns Clarke not to hurt Kristen.

Caroline is still preoccupied by Brooke's confession that she intercepted Ridge's letter. Ridge invites Brooke over to the Forrester Mansion for a swim. Caroline watches from the house as Ridge and Brooke kiss by the pool.
Caroline works with Valerie on the new fashion magazine. Brooke who is anxious to find out if Caroline has told Ridge about the letter arrives for a visit. A bitter Caroline retorts that she has not, yet, and accuses Brooke of betraying their friendship. Brooke turns the tables and openly wonders if Caroline is still in love with Ridge. Ridge notices his mother's sullen mood and offers to bring the family together to talk to Eric about the divorce, but Stephanie refuses. Eric picks Beth up at the hospital to bring her home. Stephanie decides to confront Eric about Beth's missing husband. When Conway receives a new lead that Stephen Logan might be in Salt Lake City he tries to call Stephanie, but only reaches house maid Maria.
Stephanie fantasizes in different ways about what will happen when she confronts Eric about his affair with Beth and her missing husband. When Eric is out of the office, Conway manages to reach Stephanie in time, though. She is thrilled to hear that the detective has found a lead that might reunite the Logan family very soon. Brooke begs Thorne to convince Caroline not to tell Ridge the truth about the letter. Thorne explains that he will try to stay out of this situation as best as possible to protect his own marriage, but promises that he will try if Caroline asks him about it. Ridge visits Caroline in her new office and immediately notices that she seems preoccupied. Caroline confesses to Ridge hat she is no longer friends with Brooke without disclosing any details.
Ridge notices that Stephanie's mood seems to have changed for the better. This soon changes, though: Eric informs Stephanie that he will not wait any longer and that she will get the divorce papers later that day. Meanwhile, Grandma Logan is served with papers to declare her son Stephen legally dead and is furious with Storm for doing it. When Storm comes home, he tries to explain to Helen why his court filings are the only right thing to do because it is merely accepting the inevitable: that his father is long dead. In Utah, Conway locates the hotel in which the missing Mr. Logan is presumably staying in.
Conway Weston poses as a building instructor in Salt Lake City to get into Stephen Logan's hotel room. Unfortunately, the guest living there turns out to be not the man in question. He explains that he found Mr. Logan's wallet in Tucson, Arizona, but never met him in person. Storm is worried about Donna's modeling job, but she reassures him that the agency is a legitimate business. She heads over to Tommy's and informs him that she is now willing to do the lingerie shoot. Tommy is thrilled and immediately goes to work and takes sample shots of Donna. At Spencer Publications, Ridge proposes several ideas to name her magazine to Caroline. She is impressed that Ridge cares so much about her new project. Later, Caroline tells Thorne what Brooke admitted to intercepting the letter and says that she wants to tell Ridge the truth. Thorne does not know what to say. Ridge calls Brooke and invites her over.
Rocco tries to win Donna back, but she refuses to hurt Katie. Suddenly, Katie shows up and happily presents her fiancé her new hairdo. Rocco makes a cautious attempt to correct Katie's extremely positive image of him. At Forrester Creations, Brooke is amazed by the luxury of Ridge's work and lifestyle. Margo witnesses an intimate moment between them and later warns Brooke not to get too attached to Ridge. Over at Spencer Publications, Thorne tells Caroline that it was his idea to take the letter, but she does not buy it. Thorne tries to make Caroline understand that freeing herself of Ridge was the best thing that ever happened to her. Bill walks in on their argument, yet they claim that everything is fine.
Conway gives Stephanie an update on his hunt for Stephen Logan. He tells Stephanie that he will have to go to Tucson to track down Mr. Logan, but the good news is that he seems to be still alive. Eric comes clean to Ridge about his intentions to divorce Stephanie and practically admits there is another woman. He asks Ridge to convince Stephanie to let him tell the rest of the family. Thorne informs Brooke that he covered for her, but that Caroline is still angry at them both about the intercepted letter. When he comes home, a furious Caroline confronts Thorne whether and why he actually encouraged Brooke to hide Ridge's letter. Thorne claims that he was merely trying to protect Caroline as she was not ready to face Ridge back then.
Caroline cannot decide whether or not to tell Ridge the truth. She remains vague while speaking to Bill what is troubling her, yet she cannot stop rehashing in her mind how Brooke manipulated her to marry Thorne last year. Meanwhile, Thorne reassures Brooke that Caroline will eventually see that moving on from Ridge was the right decision. Brooke then pumps Thorne for information on Margo's feelings for Ridge, but he thinks that Margo is interested in another man besides his brother. After learning from Stephanie that she has indeed been served divorce papers, Ridge breaks it to Margo that his parents are separating. Knowing that Margo has had feelings for Eric for years, Ridge comforts her when he slowly breaks it to Margo that Eric is already involved with another woman. Margo is in tears.
Tommy presents Donna with her sample modeling shots and they both think the photographs look exquisite. Tommy then tries to convince Donna to do nude shots. Beth asks Grandma Logan to accept the inevitable: that Stephen will not return. Meanwhile, Conway arrives in Tucson, Arizona, looking for the long-missing Mr. Logan. Unfortunately the local police have no records on him and advise to check the local morgue. Stephanie is touched when Clarke pays her a visit and also reassures her that he is very much into her daughter. Later, Kristen models one of his designs for Clarke, but Ridge is furious that she would show it to an outsider, especially someone who works for the rivaling knock-off-artists at Spectra Fashions.
Kristen asks Stephanie to help her convince Ridge and Eric to trust Clarke. Conway is relieved when the commissioner at the morgue in Tucson has no records on Stephen Logan. Caroline puts the screws on Brooke and repeats her demand: either Brooke will leave Ridge or she will tell Ridge everything about the intercepted letter. At Café Russe, Ridge manages to lift Stephanie's spirits. When they spot Kristen and Clarke also having dinner there, Ridge is less than gracious to his sister's boyfriend. Brooke returns home and explains to Storm that it is over between her and Ridge. Later, Ridge asks Brooke out, but she tearfully turns him down. Thorne presses Caroline to move.

Donna informs Tommy that she will pose for the nude photos under one condition: she wants to speak to the publisher upfront. In Tucson, Stephanie and Conway ponder why Stephen Logan left home and stayed away all these years. She is highly nervous that her own marriage depends on the fact that Mr. Logan will want to reunite with his family. Stephanie decides to send the Logan family an anonymous letter about Stephen.
It's the night before the fashion show and the choice of the center piece causes upheaval: Margo voices her frustration to Ridge that none of her designs made it into the collection while the boss' daughter gets the showstopper in her first year as a designer at Forrester Creations. Rocco continues to be in awe over Ridge's bold fashion style and demeanor. Kristen is having second thoughts about being dishonest with her father and wants to back out. She asks Ridge to convince Eric to give her gown a less prominent spot in the showing. Eric and Ridge both agree though that Kristen's design is the breakout hit of this year's collection - Meanwhile, Stephanie informs Clarke that she will tell Eric that he is creator of the stunning dress attributed to Kristen. Clarke is disappointed that Stephanie thinks it is a possibility that he would betray her family. He professes his devotion for Kristen to Stephanie which causes her to reconsider and keep mum to Eric. After Stephanie has left, suddenly Margo walks out of the bedroom and kisses Clarke.
The Fall Fashion Show is about to start and Rocco mingles with the models. Clarke sneaks into Forrester Creations to wish Kristen good luck. At the same time he wishes that the world would know that he created the gown Kristen will be wearing. Caroline arrives for her first showing as part of the fashion press. Eric is thankful when Stephanie shows up to offer moral support. Ridge is frustrated that the company is staying in the niche market, but Thorne advises him to give up his plans for a mass marketing scheme. Later, Margo serves as presenter of the fashion display. The showstopper is a hit as is the rest of the show. Kristen accompanies a proud Eric on the runway as he enjoys the raving applause from buyers and reporters.
Eric, Ridge and Margo celebrate the success of the fashion show. Kristen excuses herself from the festivities, though, and heads to Clarke's apartment where she vows her unconditional love to her boyfriend. Brooke begs Caroline to change her mind. Caroline claims that it is not about her being hurt, but she rather considers it her task to protect Ridge to get hurt by Brooke as well. Later, Ridge feels rejected by Brooke when she turns him down for another date. Stephanie grows anxious whether Conway's plan will pan out. Beth and Storm return home from court and are optimistic that Stephen will be declared dead soon so that they all can move on. Then, Storm finds Conway's anonymous letter from Tucson in the mail.
Storm is stunned: an anonymous letter claims that Stephen is living in Tucson, Arizona. Brooke is miserable to drive Ridge away to comply with Caroline's ultimatum. To soothe his hurt ego, Ridge calls his old acquaintance Natalie to join him for dinner tonight. He admits to Stephanie, though, that Brooke has gotten under his skin. After hiding the letter from Beth, Storm confides in Brooke that someone is playing tricks on hem in regards to their father. He wants to forget about the letter, but Brooke cannot brush over the fact that Stephen could be alive so easily. Katie discovers Donna's lingerie shots and asks her sister to be careful.
Storm tells Brooke that he ran into her ex fiancé Dave who still misses her. Brooke explains that she is now only in love with Ridge, yet cannot see him any longer. Storm and Brooke switch their discussion to the ominous letter which claims that their father is still alive. It is Caroline's birthday. Bill pressures his hard working daughter to actually consider moving into a house of her own with Thorne. The young marrieds then meet at the Café Russe where they are joined by Ridge who for once is not having a lady by his side. Eventually, Ridge invites Brooke over, but does not mention that it is a dinner party with Caroline. Rocco devices a plan to turn Katie off. He calls Griffey's waitress Stacy upfront to warn her that he will be rather harsh to her later. Said and done, when Rocco and Katie meet at the café, he is acting completely out of character and mocking Stacy. The plan backfires as both Katie and Stacy have a hard time taking Rocco seriously.
Ridge informs Margo that he still plans to go ahead with the mass marketing idea. Kristen then asks Ridge to put in a good word for Clarke with Eric as he is treated unfairly just because he is working for Spectra Fashions. Margo continues to flirt with Clarke and vents her frustration about her future at Forrester Creations in light of Kristen's successful debut. She also notes that she is impressed by Kristen's showstopper design as it was very different from her usual work. Stephanie pushes Conway to observe the Logans in order to find out whether they are taking the bait to find Stephen. Storm tries to convince Brooke that the letter about their father should be forgotten, but Brooke is reluctant to ignore this hint that their father could still be alive. Storm reminds his sister that the important piece of information is that their father did not reach out to them.
Stephanie and Eric reminisce about the good times and have a profound conversation about friendship in light of their impending divorce. Eric is impressed by his wife's tranquility despite the end of their marriage. Storm and Brooke are still at odds whether they should follow up on the lead on their long-missing father. Beth stops by and remarks how happy she is that for once everything seems to fall into place in her life. Pondering Beth's words, Brooke is even more unsure than before if she should try to get confirmation whether Stephen is alive. Later, Conway gives Stephanie notice that Brooke just booked a flight to Tucson. Inspired by Donna's success, Katie playfully makes an attempt at modeling at home. Donna then tells Katie that she loves to model and is anxious to take her career to the next step. She goes to see Tommy and asks him to contact his principal to find out if the nude shots are a go.

The publisher is much younger than expected and very handsome. Donna is disappointed, though, when Nick asks her to strip and leaves. Clarke questions Margo about her feelings for Eric and Ridge. A bitter Margo explains to Clarke that he will not get anywhere at Forrester Creations without being part of the family. Later, Kristen informs Clarke of the astounding sales figures for his design. She assures her boyfriend that he will eventually get the recognition he deserves. Subsequently, Kristen confides in Margo whom she trusts completely. Margo is shocked when Kristen says Clarke designed the showstopper of the fall collection.

Later, Ridge tells Stephanie that Brooke used him as an excuse suspecting that another man might be involved. Subsequently, Conway confirms to Stephanie that Brooke is on her way to Tucson. Meanwhile, Brooke is shocked to find her father at a diner - Thorne gets angry with Bill for interfering when he presents his son-in-law with prospective house. Thorne then visits Caroline in the office who breaks it to her husband that she is not ready to move yet until the magazine has launched.
Brooke is stunned to see her father for the first time since age 14. Out of courtesy for her mother, Brooke is about to leave the diner in Tucson until she suddenly turns around and confronts Stephen. She immediately put him on the spot and wants to know why he left the family 8 years ago. Thorne confides in Stephanie that their living arrangement with Ridge and Caroline under the same roof is a burden on him. He tells Stephanie that he will kill Ridge if he gets out of line with Caroline. Stephanie worries about Thorne's threat. Caroline tells Bill that she is equally disenchanted like Thorne about his interference. Ridge informs Margo that he will have lunch with Kristen and Clarke at the Ocean Club. For Kristen's sake, Ridge tries to be charming with Clarke despite his true feelings for the designer. Clarke then receives a call from Margo who tries to lure him away.
Stephen explains to Brooke that he cannot give her a simple answer why he left. He urges to never believe she or the other children made him run away. Brooke is disappointed that her father is still not standing up for his motives to leave the family. Stephen tells Brooke that he is still thinking about Beth, but he considers it best if she forgets about him. Kristen and Clarke discuss their next steps to pave the way for Clarke joining Forrester Creations. Later, Clarke meets with Margo and informs her that lunch with Ridge went pretty well. Margo curbs his enthusiasm and has a different suggestion for Clarke: he should blackmail the Forresters with the truth about the showstopper - Donna has a tough day at Griffey's. She tells Rocco that she hates her job and blew her interview for the magazine photo shoot. Surprisingly, Nick Preston calls Donna and gives her a second chance to audition which she accepts.
Margo opines to Clarke that Ridge will never trust him. She thinks that his best option to score a job at Forrester Creations is to blackmail Eric with the fact that he designed the prestigious showstopper dress. Clarke is reluctant, but Margo pushes for it. Brooke returns home and is shocked to find out that Donna told Ridge that she went to Arizona. She asks her sister to keep this information to herself, especially with Storm. Ridge invites Brooke over and soon demands an explanation from Brooke about her sudden secretive trip to Tucson. Conway informs Stephanie that he learned from his local detective that Brooke's visit was much shorter than expected. Stephanie hopes to pump Brooke for details what really went on.
Storm informs Beth that the court proceedings are wrapping up. Beth decides that it is time to tell Donna and Katie about her decision to have Stephen declared legally dead. Stephanie walks into Ridge and Brooke's discussion feigning concern for Beth and asking lots of questions about the Logans. Ridge wonders why Stephanie is so interested in Brooke's family. Suddenly, Stephanie gets an idea on how to lure Stephen Logan back to Los Angeles. Rocco explains to Donna that he has another plan to turn Katie off. Donna then leaves to meet Nick Preston at the fancy Taxi Grill who apologizes for their first encounter. It is not before long that sparks fly between the aspiring model and publisher.
Rocco presents Katie with some very avant-garde clothes which are completely different to her usual style. Katie puts them on reluctantly. Rocco hopes to turn her off by making it clear that he is very much unlike her. Stephanie wants to contact Grandma Logan about Stephen, but Conway refuses. Thorne is hurt when Caroline works late even though they wanted to spend the evening together. Unfortunately, Caroline's intention to surprise her husband fails because she therefore only finds Ridge at the Forrester Mansion. When Stephanie spots the two spending time by the pool, she begins to worry. Stephanie meets with Bill at Café Russe and asks for his assistance to make sure that Caroline stays dedicated to Thorne.
Brooke is still thrown by her encounter with her father. She questions Storm about the next steps of the court proceedings. Storm explains to her that in two weeks' time the judge might declare Stephen dead. Later, Beth breaks it to Katie and Donna that they cannot close their eyes on the obvious anymore: their father is dead. The girls are hit hard by Beth's words. Alone with her older sister, an upset Donna weeps when Brooke suddenly admits that Stephen is alive - Ridge accuses Eric of throwing away a fulfilling marriage and demands that his father reveal the name of the other woman. Eric refuses, but is impressed that Stephanie continues to act very mature with him. Stephanie has one request, though, and that is to keep the divorce from their daughter Felicia, who is studying in London, a little longer.
It's a stormy night in Los Angeles: Ridge reluctantly meets with Kristen and Clarke at his loft. Clarke presents his designs and Ridge is impressed. Donna demands that Brooke explain what she meant about Stephen. Brooke quickly backpedals when Katie walks into the room, but Donna does not accept her allusions. Donna puts one and one together and correctly assumes that Brooke found their their presumed dead father in Tucson, Arizona. She is shocked that her sister is keeping that important information to herself. Margo begins to act territorial with Clarke and wants to see him despite his rendezvous with Kristen. Eric asks his son to be understanding and explains that the woman he wants to live the rest of his life with together has been in heart for a very long time. Conway informs Stephanie that Donna is flying to Tucson.

Eric offers to make their relationship public soon to ease Beth's worries. Kristen pushes her brother to put in a good word for Clarke with Eric. Ridge explains to Kristen that Clarke cannot work for Forrester Creations due to his affiliation with Spectra Fashion and that she has enough skills to be an asset to the company. Meanwhile, Margo, who wants to poison his relationship with Kristen, encourages Clarke to come clean to Eric. Clarke is reluctant to reach for blackmail, but eventually goes to see Eric. Caroline is extremely busy with the impending launch of her magazine and decides to follow up on Ridge's idea to call it "Eye on Fashion". Thorne surprises his wife with a romantic lunch in the office. The happy couple shares kisses and therefore does not see Ridge when he stops by.
Eric is shocked when Clarke announces that he created the showstopper design. Clarke asks Eric for a chance, but also reminds the Forrester patriarch that he saw him at the hospital with Beth Logan a while ago. Eric is livid about Clarke's gall to blackmail him. Kristen tells her presumed best friend Margo how much she loves Clarke. Ridge lures Brooke to visit him at work, where he shows her the new gym and most importantly steam room. Ridge wants to try out the new amenities immediately. Donna asks Rocco to cover for her with the family while she is out of town. When she tries to keep the true reason from him, Rocco reminds her that she can trust him. Meanwhile, Clarke sneaks into Forrester Creations in disguise. He apologizes to Kristen with a passionate kiss. Eric informs Ridge that he has opted against pulling Clarke's design from their collection.
Ridge notices Stephanie's splendid mood and correctly assumes that she has made progress on the hunt for her husband's mistress and gained new hope to win him back. To cheer her up, Ridge then invites Brooke over and a highly awkward interaction with Stephanie ensues as she slyly plays with Brooke's emotions about her long-missing father. At the Logans, Katie and Donna break the happy news to their brother while an exhausted Stephen has secluded himself to the guest room. Clarke follows his heart, though: he surprises Kristen at the Forrester Mansion where he seduces her - Rocco spots Donna's first lingerie ad in the paper. Donna is thrilled about it, but Rocco cautions her that no one in her family knows about the exact details of her modeling career yet. Rocco also worries about Donna's involvement with Nick whom he does not trust. Donna enjoys a lovely dinner with Nick. Later, Nick meets with his boss. Bill reviews the latest bunch of shots for his adult magazines and takes a particular liking on Donna's pictures.
Clarke and Kristen awake from their first night together drunk with bliss. Stephanie spots Clarke sneaking out after the designer claims that he does not want to run into Kristen's family so soon. Clarke is relieved when he returns to his apartment before Margo wakes up. Margo apologizes for falling asleep early last night and pushes Clarke again to dump Kristen, not knowing that he slept with her. Ridge seeks advice from Brooke to find a proper suitor for his supposedly unhappy-in-love sister Kristen. Siblings Brooke and Storm worry that their father may win Beth over. Later, Brooke decides to follow up on her hunch and drives over to the Forrester Mansion. She calls Stephanie's bluff about being behind the letter who brought Stephen back into their lives.
Stephanie acts all innocent when Brooke shows her the letter that gave away Stephen's whereabouts in Arizona. Brooke is not being deterred by Stephanie and vows to make her sorry for causing havoc in her mother's life. Stephanie finally admits that she authored the letter and reminds Brooke that she did so to protect her own marriage and family. Ridge plays along when he catches Rocco posing as himself when Jennifer Dawson, a beautiful design student, visits Forrester Creations. Caroline proudly tells Thorne that the first issue of "Eye on Fashion" is almost done. Bill wants to throw a wrap party to thank everyone for their support during the last months of hardship. Caroline invites Ridge to the party, but Thorne insists that Brooke come as well. Brooke tells Thorne she will not go, but gives in when Ridge asks her. Brooke informs Ridge that she might move in with him after all.
Eric gifts Beth with a luxurious coat for her birthday. They enjoy some bliss at the Ocean Club before the family dinner. At the Logan House, Storm catches Donna's lingerie ad in the paper and is not too happy about it. Katie and Donna prepare with Stephen for the night while Storm opts out of the event. Beth is getting cold feet as well, but Brooke convinces her to attend. Later, Stephen gives Beth the ring, proposes and begs for a second chance. Elsewhere, Storm reveals to Caroline that Beth and Eric are seeing each other and that they intend to get married. Caroline worries that she caused a problem by giving Stephen a job.
Beth is stunned when Stephen proposes to her at the birthday party and asks for a second chance. Katie is thrilled for her parents and Donna is intent to have her plan work out. She reminds her mother that she and Stephen are still legally married. Beth accepts Stephen's ring, but feels confused. Storm awaits the family at home with a not too pleased reaction. He warns Beth not to buy Stephen's act. Ridge and Thorne ague whether it is a brother's task to find Kristen a new lover. Caroline is turned off by Thorne's harshness towards Ridge. Later, Brooke informs Ridge that she feels completely rejuvenated. She tells Ridge that she confronted the other man's wife, not revealing that it was Stephanie.
Margo tries to make Clarke jealous by using her past with Ridge, but Clarke remains unmoved and switches the topic. Margo has a hard time digesting that Clarke wants to continue to pass of his Forrester designs as Kristen's and not hers. Bill discusses the order of events of tonight's wrap party with Caroline and advises her against inviting Ridge. Caroline therefore asks Ridge to behave himself at her party. Bill warns Thorne about Ridge. Thorne wants to put a stop to his jealousy after his argument with Caroline last night. Kristen catches Clarke in a lie and makes the correct guess that another woman stayed at his apartment while they made love. Clarke takes a drastic step forward to prove his feelings for her and stuns Kristen with a marriage proposal.
Clarke convinces Kristen that he is genuine about his proposal. She happily agrees to marry him, but is even more stunned when he wants to elope to Las Vegas - tonight. Caroline, Thorne, Ridge and Brooke continue the wrap party celebration for magazine launch s as a couple's night by the pool of the Forrester Mansion with some more champagne. Caroline gets drunk and soon excuses herself. Later, when Thorne walks out of the bedroom shortly, Ridge climbs into bed with Caroline as a joke, but finds himself getting turned on by her.
Ridge's prank backfires: a drunken Caroline mistakes him for her husband and kisses him passionately - Downstairs in the kitchen, Thorne complains about Ridge to Stephanie. Thorne returns to bed just as Ridge leaves and Caroline regains full consciousness. Caroline is confused, thinking she was making love to Thorne, not Ridge. At the same time, Ridge regrets his crazy idea and prays that Caroline will not remember what happened between them. At the Logans, Brooke tries to convince Storm that Ridge is a good man. Donna pays Nick a visit to discuss her next modeling assignment. She wants Tommy Bayland to helm the photo shoot as he gave her this big chance. Eventually, Donna and Nick share another kiss.
It's the morning after: Ridge is taken aback by his misguided prank last night and hopes that Caroline has no recollection of it at all. Caroline is too hungover to remember all the details, but has a sketchy memory of making love to her husband. She is therefore baffled when Thorne tells her they did not. Ridge confides in Brooke that he did something awful. At Spencer Publications, Bill questions Caroline about her extended celebrations and is confused by her reaction when he brings up Ridge. Brooke informs Beth that Grandma Logan is coming home from the cruise with her sister. Beth delivers the happy news to Stephen and they discuss the best way to confront Helen with his return from the missing.
Bill asks Margo to seduce Ridge to keep him away from Caroline. Margo refuses because she is in loves. Ridge gets nervous when Caroline wants to meet with him at the Private Dining Room of the Ocean Club. His worst nightmare becomes reality as Caroline directly addresses what happened last night. Reluctantly, Ridge admits to Caroline that they made love. She is horrified. Rocco warns Donna not to trust Nick. Katie then informs them that Grandma Logan is back in Los Angeles after a lengthy absence. At the Logans, the big moment has come: Beth reunites Stephen with his mother.
Caroline is still shaken from Ridge's revelation that they had sex. Stephanie notices that something is troubling Caroline. When she suddenly decides to leave home for a while, Stephanie gets a shocking realization what has happened between Caroline and Ridge. Kristen decides against eloping with Clarke. She wants to proof to her family that he is the right man for her and win their acceptance. At Forrester Creations, Ridge tells Margo that he is planning a party with L.A.'s 10 most eligible bachelors for Kristen to forget about Clarke. Later, Ridge and Rocco present Kristen with dresses for tonight. Margo slyly informs Clarke about Ridge's party plans. He is shocked.
It's the night of Ridge's party for Kristen: Clarke is put off when Kristen informs him that she is attending, even though she reassures him about her feelings. Brooke is surprised to find out that Storm was invited by Ridge as one of the eligible bachelors. At Forrester Creations, Bill and Thorne are both worried that Caroline disappeared from work without leaving a note on her whereabouts. Meanwhile, Ridge tries to talk to a miserable Caroline who is hiding in her and Thorne's bedroom. Later, Stephanie urges Caroline not to tell Bill or Thorne about what happened between her and Ridge.
Amidst lots of dancing and some fun time by the pool, Storm begins to warm up to Ridge at the party at the Forrester Mansion. Kristen is enjoying herself a lot by being the center of attention of ten of Los Angeles' most eligible bachelors. Stephanie tells Ridge to stay away from Caroline because she is still very upset. Upstairs, Thorne and Bill confront Caroline about her moodiness. Caroline downplays her urge for reclusion as an effect of drinking too much booze the day prior. Nick informs Donna that the photo shoot is scheduled for tonight. She begins to get nervous about doing the nude photos and is happy when Rocco decides to go with her.
Donna and Rocco arrive at the Bayland Modeling Agency. Tommy is thrilled to see Donna and promises her a spectacular photo shoot. Nick informs Donna that her modeling name will be "Savannah". While Donna models, Rocco and Nick argue about his intentions towards her. Eventually, Donna removes her clothes and feels extremely uncomfortable about it. Stephanie questions Ridge about Kristen's celebration and his behavior towards Caroline. Kristen tries to make Clarke jealous by raving about the party. Brooke is surprised when Storm returns home smiling from ear to ear and announces that he fell in love with Kristen. Later, Ridge pays Brooke a visit. They kiss passionately.
Caroline is still upset and decides to avoid the awkwardness of sitting through breakfast with Ridge and the family. Thorne is highly concerned about his wife. Ridge feels awful about hurting Caroline and assures his mother that he did not rape her. At Spencer Publications, a proud Bill informs Caroline that "Eye on Fashion" had a successful launch and is sold out at the newsstands. His daughter's restrained reaction to this great news sparks Bill's curiosity. Brooke wonders about Donna working late last night day. Donna reluctantly reveals to Brooke that she modeled nude. Brooke is shocked and thinks that Donna made a major mistake. Meanwhile, Nick shows his boss the photos of "Savannah". Bill loves Donna's pictures and decides to make her a star. Eric works from home and notices that Stephanie is disappearing during the middle of the day. Surprisingly enough not even house-maid Maria is aware where Stephanie is going to every week during this time-frame.
Brooke pushes Storm to call Kristen if he is genuinely interested in her. Eric asks Thorne and Ridge where Stephanie goes during the day, but neither knows. Ridge and Caroline have another secret meeting at the Ocean Club as she has several questions to get a grip on what transpired during them. Caroline asks Ridge if she was actively pursuing him in bed which he confirms. Ridge professes that he is deeply sorry for his prank gone wrong. Brooke seeks advice from Thorne whether Ridge will ever enter a serious relationship with her. Katie gets upset when she overhears Beth talking to Eric over the phone. Beth reminds Katie that her relationship to her father is completely unrelated to her feelings for him. Then, Helen walks in beaming with joy that Stephen is back in town.
Donna has as an excruciating shift at Griffey's. Hence, she is not admitting to Rocco how she really felt about modeling nude as she considers this as her way out to a better life. Rocco on the other hand is not happy about Donna and Nick. Donna is excited about her proofs and falling for Nick, though. Brooke explains to Thorne how badly she has been treated by Stephanie and that she feels in constant competition with Caroline in regards to Ridge. Brooke therefore wants to distance herself from Ridge. Thorne thinks that this is the wrong move. After Ridge tells Caroline that he is sorry for hurting her and will fully respect her marriage in the future, they decide to move forward as friends.
Kristen tells Clarke that she enjoyed the party greatly, yet she is only interested in him. Clarke wants to elope, but Kristen wants to discuss the wedding plans with her family first. Ridge unsuccessfully questions Stephanie about her weekly disappearing acts. Ridge then admits to his mother that Brooke seems to pull back from him. At the Logans, Brooke is amused that Storm seems smitten with Kristen at the same that she came to the realization that she and Ridge have no future. Margo pays a late night visit to Clarke. She wants to make their relationship official and proposes to a stunned Clarke. He gently puts her off. After Ridge and Stephanie tell her that marrying Clarke is a bad idea, Kristen calls the man of her affection and suggests that they elope the next day.
Ridge informs Eric that Kristen is still head over heels in love with Garrison. Eric therefore appeals to Kristen to wait to be married and suggests a wedding at the Forrester Mansion in 4 months' time. Margo compliments Clarke on his latest designs. She is thrilled that he is (allegedly) no longer seeing Kristen and wants to make their relationship public. Clarke promises Margo a definite answer to her proposal within the next 24 hours. Still concerned for her sister, Brooke wants to know for whom Donna is modeling and finds out that it is Nick Preston. Kristen and Clarke elope to Las Vegas to be married.
Kristen and Clarke arrive in Las Vegas and get married in a chapel on the Strip. Ridge notices Margo's radiant mood and correctly guesses that she is in love with a new man. She hints that this is only partially the cause. Eric and Ridge cannot reach Kristen and fear that she eloped. Later, Margo desperately tries to find Clarke because she has major news for him. Caroline proudly shows Stephanie the first issue of her magazine. They then talk about the night where Ridge and Caroline made love. Stephanie feels that Ridge is to delate for seducing his sister-in-law. Caroline takes part of the blame, just as Thorne walks into the room.
Donna thanks Nick for the dress he sent her as a gift earlier. She wants to introduce him to her family. After he witnesses Nick and Donna sharing a kiss, Bill warns Nick not to mix business and pleasure. Bill also informs Nick that "Savannah" exceeded his expectations. He therefore wants to print Donna's pictures in his struggling American adult publication "Temptation" despite Nick's agreement with Donna. Newlyweds Kristen and Clarke return to California to spend their honeymoon in the Forrester's Big Bear Cabin. At Forrester Creations, Margo asks Eric if he has heard from Clarke who seems to have disappeared. Ridge and Stephanie worry about Kristen's whereabouts. Their worst expectations are proven correct when Kristen calls Stephanie to say that she married Clarke.
Margo hints at Ridge that she will get married soon. Ridge then tells Margo that Kristen and Clarke eloped. She is horrified. Eric and Stephanie wonder how to explain to Ridge that Clarke is now not only part of their family, but also working Forrester Creations. Thorne and Caroline spend a romantic morning in bed. When they come down for breakfast, Stephanie informs Caroline and Thorne about Kristen's marriage. Storm congratulates Brooke on remaining steadfast and not seeing Ridge for an entire week. Later, Ridge confronts Brooke at the medical lab and announces that he has put Caroline behind him. A happy Brooke and Ridge kiss.
Eric encourages Beth to make a clean cut with her husband, but she is concerned for her daughters. Beth promises Eric that she cannot wait to get married to him, though. Brooke berates Donna for her nude modeling and instant romance with her publisher. Donna reassures Brooke that she will introduce Nick to the family soon. Storm blasts Stephen for coming back and taking his position in the family which infuriates Katie. Later, Brooke tries to make Katie and Donna understand Storm's feelings. Eventually, the Logans prepare for their first Independence Day barbecue as a reunited family in the garden. When Katie chokes on her food, it is Stephen who comes to her rescue.
Stephen's heroic act to save Katie's life jolts Beth's and Storm's dismissive attitude towards him. Katie thinks that it is about time that her mother shows the Logan patriarch some kindness. When Nick picks Donna up for their date, he charms the entire Logan family except for Brooke. Nick then takes Donna out to the Café Russe where he promises not to run her pictures in American magazines. Unfortunately, Bill spots the couple and is disappointed that Nick lied about not being involved with his model. Bill therefore decides to publish the photos of "Savannah" behind his back. Later, Beth issues kind words to Stephen who in exchange asks for a kiss. A thrilled Katie sees them kissing.
Brooke admits to Storm that his hunch was correct and that she is seeing Ridge again. Thorne begins to think that Caroline tries to avoid having sex with him. Stephanie notices that Ridge is still shaken from his intimate encounter with his sister-in-law. Later, Stephanie discusses the toxic situation with Caroline who is reluctant to open up and denies still having feelings for Ridge. In Bel Air, Brooke confronts Donna's lover Nick about her sister's nude pictures. Nick claims that Donna loves modeling, but he would be handing her the proofs of the nude shots if she ever approached him. Brooke is impressed that Nick truly cares for Donna.
Brooke informs Donna that she visited Nick and he agreed to hand her the proofs of her nude shots. Donna is upset by Brooke's intervention and annoyed by her measly waitressing job at Griffey's. She therefore tells Nick that she still wants to model. With newlyweds Clarke and Kristen about to return to L.A. soon, Ridge notices that Margo is very upset with her new beau. Eric then explains to Ridge that Clarke designed the showstopper for the last fashion show, but turned down a pay-off. Ridge is even more suspicious of Clarke's motives and disagrees with his father's decision to hire Clarke. Later, Ridge and Brooke console each other about the troubles with their respective sisters.
Clarke and Kristen return from their honeymoon. Clarke suggests that they move in with her parents. At the Forrester Mansion, Eric, Ridge and Thorne are surprised when Stephanie comes home very late without disclosing her whereabouts for the day. Eric swears the Forrester family in to try to accept Clarke for Kristen's sake. Ridge is highly reluctant. Later, Kristen is touched to receive congratulations on her wedding by everyone. Eric even promises to consider making a public announcement about Clarke's hiring. Meanwhile, Clarke finds a lot of messages from Margo on his answering machine. It is also not before long until Margo shows up in person. She is shocked that Clarke claims to be in love with Kristen. He wants to end their relationship, but Margo has one tiny bit of information that he does not yet have: she is pregnant with his baby.
Clarke has a tough time coming to terms with Margo's revelation that she is pregnant with his child. He bluntly tells Margo that he cannot be there for her as he is newly married. Margo hisses and threatens to expose him to the Forresters if Clarke does not end things with Kristen and instead marry her. Clarke asks for respite. Eric, Stephanie, Thorne, Caroline and Ridge toast Kristen, yet wonder why Clarke is so late to join his wife tonight. Stephanie is reluctant to comply with Kristen's wishes to have Clarke move into her house. Later, Clarke tries to charm the Forresters with little success. Ridge notices Clarke taking an urgent phone call. He is stunned to find out from house maid Maria that the caller was Margo Lynley.
Bill forces Nick to stop seeing Donna as it begins having implications on his business sense. After receiving the latest sales figures for "Temptation", Bill decides to runs the photos of "Savannah" aka. Donna in his American magazine after all. Caroline watches uneasily from upstairs. Thorne wants to get past his marital issues. Caroline tries to make love to her husband, but eventually pulls back and begins to cry.
Bill wants to teach his protégé Nick a lesson to never mix business with his personal life. Following final editing and approving of the centerfold of "Savannah", Bill releases the latest issue of "Temptation" to print. Nick visits Donna late at night in order to break off their liaison. She misreads his words and expresses her love to him. Nick returns these feelings, but asks Donna to keep their relationship a secret. At the Forrester Mansion, Stephanie is annoyed to find Brooke dressed in the skimpy bikini by her pool. She threatens Brooke to better hold her word about their arrangement while Ridge fetches some drinks in the kitchen. A shaken Caroline tells Thorne that she cannot make love to him. Thorne is very understanding. He thinks that his wife is just exhausted from work and suggests that she seeks counseling.
Ridge is still furious over Garrison worming his way into the family and the business. Eric informs Thorne and Ridge that he concedes his new son-in-law a probation period of 6 months to make his mark as a designer. The newlyweds enjoy their marital bliss at the loft. Clarke pushes Kristen for the two of them to move in with her parents. Kristen is giddy to tell her alleged best friend Margo all about her wedding. Later, Margo gets furious when Clarke does not show up to an appointment in her apartment. Suddenly, she pulls a gun out of a case - Eric and Beth meet at the Private Dining Room and discuss the latest events, especially Stephanie's strange behavior and her weekly disappearing acts. Could Stephanie be seeing a new man?
Kristen is surprised to find out from Thorne that he and not Margo had her office decorated to celebrate her wedding. She tells her brother that Margo went home after feeling sick and that she sent Rocco to get her a care package. Meanwhile, Clarke pays Margo a visit trying to charm her. Margo is fed up and suddenly pulls a gun on Clarke when he refuses to file for divorce. Clarke reminds Margo that they will both lose their jobs and deduces that she still loves him. Clarke finds out that the riffle is not loaded and calls Margo's bluff when she threatens to expose him to Kristen. Storm visits Kristen to congratulate, but also reveals that he wishes something could have started between them. She thanks Storm for their friendship.
Clarke calls Margo's bluff and she indeed backs down and does not disclose her affair with Clarke to Kristen over the phone. Clarke tries to reassure Margo who makes it clear that she is not going to have an abortion. Clarke tells Margo that he needs time to devise a plan. Rocco is thrilled that Ridge continues to mentor him and allows him to witness a fitting at Forrester Creations. Later, Ridge finds out from Maria that Stephanie has left on her mysterious weekly engagement again. Eric then informs his son that he hired a private detective to follow his still-wife. Ridge is uncomfortable with someone spying on Stephanie. Clarke is happy to find Kristen waiting for him at home and eagerly tells his wife how much he loves her.
Caroline congratulates her father on winning a prestigious award for his contribution to the publishing industry. Meanwhile, Nick gets suspicious when he does not receive the latest issue of "Temptation". Curious why he wants to keep their relationship a secret, Donna confronts Nick who professes his love to her again. Bill, who has Nick's office bugged, eavesdrops on this conversation. Thorne asks Eric for advice about Caroline and the lack of sex in his marriage. Eric suggests therapy because the marital problems could be rooted in Caroline's rape. Ridge and Caroline brainstorm what Stephanie is doing during her weekly disappearing acts. Later, Stephanie remains vague when questioned by Eric and Ridge where she has spent the day. Eric then contacts his P.I. Dave Harmon to learn of the results of his investigation on Stephanie.
Donna realizes that Nick wants to keep their relationship a secret because she is working for him. She decides to give up modeling - for him and the sake of her family. Katie is happy to hear that. Meanwhile, Bill teaches his protégé a lesson and personally delivers him the latest issue of "Temptation". Nick is furious to see the magazine with Donna's nude photos intended for the European magazines, but Bill claims that business-wise this was the smartest decision. When Eric cancels on their dinner plans, Beth accepts Stephen invitation to take her out. Stephanie is curious to know why Eric hired a private detective. Over at Forrester Creations, Dave Harmon reveals shocking news about Stephanie's secret trips to Eric and Ridge: she regularly drives out to a house in Santa Monica which she owns, but neither Eric nor Ridge have ever heard of.
Ridge and Eric learn that Stephanie is seeing a certain Dr. Todd Powell on her secret weekly trip who seems to live in the mysterious Santa Monica house owned by Stephanie. Concerned for his marriage, Thorne questions Caroline whether her being raped is the cause for her reluctance to make love to him. She denies it and leaves for breakfast. Downstairs, Ridge breaks it to Caroline that his mother could be seeing another man. Later, Caroline presses Stephanie to find out if she has ever had an affair. Ridge goes to see Dr. Powell but learns nothing. Eric is furious to discover that the doctor has been living at Stephanie's house for 23 years, free of charge. Instead it seems that Stephanie may have been giving this man money for years. Eric decides to confront Stephanie about Dr. Powell.
Ridge tries to calm down his father, but Eric is furious that Stephanie would keep a secret from him for over 20 years. Brooke is overjoyed to hear that Donna quit modeling. At the same time, Nick is anxious to talk to Donna to break the shocking news to her that her pictures got published in the US despite his assertions to the contrary. Later, Nick shows Donna the new issue of "Temptation" magazine and she is hysterical. Donna runs away before Nick can explain the situation. Ridge is depressed about Stephanie and Brooke consoles him. At the Forrester Mansion, Eric confronts Stephanie about lying to him for their entire marriage.
Stephanie is perplexed when Eric confronts her with an alleged betrayal of enormous proportions: her weekly disappearing acts, owning a mysterious house in Santa Monica and paying generous amounts of money to a certain Dr. Powell. Stephanie tells Eric that she is having an affair. Eric does not buy it and demands the truth. Caroline consoles Ridge about his mother lying to him and the family for so many years. He is convinced that Stephanie was not being unfaithful but rather the victim of extortion and therefore paid off the doctor. Concerned when her co-worker is constantly crying, Stacey calls Rocco and asks him to come to Griffey's. A miserable Donna then confides in Rocco about her nude photos being published in an American magazine and he is enraged. Brooke visits Nick to thanks him for letting Donna out of her modeling contract. He admits that his promise was broken and that Donna's photos will hit the newsstands. Brooke is furious and slaps Nick, urging him to stay away from her sister.
Thorne wants to make Caroline fall in love with him again. She is touched by his words, yet she feels the urge to inform her husband about Stephanie's affair. When Stephanie will not give him the answers that he is looking for, Eric rushes off to get the truth from Dr. Powell. Stephanie goes with him and desperately begs him to turn around. At Forrester Creations, Ridge and Margo argue over work. Ridge suddenly remarks that it looks like Margo is gaining weight. She pretends to be offended. At the mysterious house in Santa Monica, Stephanie acts as if she is secretly in love with Todd for many. Eric does not buy this story and instead wants to have a look around the house which seems to horrify Stephanie.
In Santa Monica, Stephanie opens up to Eric that she has been keeping a secret from him for 25 years and that she always hoped that he would never find out. Then, Eric walks into the next room where a blonde girl is lying asleep in bed. Perplexed as to who she is, Eric discovers that Dr. Powell has been taking care of Angela, the retarded child he and Stephanie had that Eric thought was still-born. Dr. Powell further explains that the girl was expected to die so Stephanie kept her a secret and lied that she died shortly after birth. When the girl lived, Stephanie bought this house and hired him as a permanent care taker. A shocked Eric embraces his catatonic daughter. Kristen is sad that Margo is in such terrible mood. She encourages Margo to pursue the man of her affection and Margo agrees. Margo goes to see Clarke and urges him to finally take action.
Katie is confused when Donna has herself abnegated to Nick over the phone. Brooke comforts Donna and urges her sister to cut all ties with the shady publisher. Meanwhile, Nick gives his butler Ramone instructions to help him buy every copy of "Temptation" magazine in the city to protect Donna. Ridge, Thorne and Kristen anxiously await word on Stephanie's alleged affair. Eric returns home and tells the family about Angela. Furious that his wife would keep the existence of his daughter from him for 25 years, Eric decides to move out the Forrester Mansion immediately. Stephanie is devastated, but also faces the questions of her children why she would hide Angela for all those years.
Nick learns from his butler Ramone that he bought all copies of "Temptation" in the L.A. area. At Spencer Publications, Bill finds out that his fledgling adult magazine sold out over night and deduces that Nick is behind it. In order to make his discovery "Savannah" a star and to teach Nick a valuable lesson, Bill orders to restock the newsstands with twice as many issues tomorrow. Thorne confides in Caroline about the shocking revelation that he has another sister. At the Ocean Club, Eric tells Beth about the daughter he never knew he had. Ridge asks Brooke to join him on his first visit to his catatonic sister Angela. Ridge is distraught when he sees Angela with his own eyes in Santa Monica.
Thorne and Kristen are furious with Stephanie for keeping their sister from them. Caroline disagrees; she applauds Stephanie for her dedication to protect Angela and make sure that she got the best care. At the Ocean Club, Beth surprises Eric by saying that she thinks that Stephanie did the right thing and acted out of love. Brooke and Ridge question Dr. Powell about Angela's health and how he and Stephanie raised the girl. Nick tells Donna he bought all the magazines. Donna forgives him. Kristen, Thorne and Caroline visit Angela with Stephanie. They are heartbroken to see the catatonic girl with their own eyes. When Angela starts weeping, Stephanie holds her in her arms and manages to calm her.
The news of the never heard Angela ripples through the Forrester and Logan families. While Beth stuns Brooke and Storm that she admires Stephanie for her dedication to raise the girl without wanting to put the burden on her family, Eric learns from Dr. Powell about the extent of care paralyzed Angela needs every single day. At the Forrester Mansion, Ridge, Thorne, Caroline and Kristen gather to discuss what to do next now that they know of Angela. Thorne thinks that they should move their sister to the house, but Ridge - supported by Caroline - strongly disagrees. Later, Eric apologizes to Stephanie expressing his admiration for being such a loving mother to his handicapped daughter. Donna brags to Rocco and Stacy what a great guy Nick is. Rocco notices some college students craning their necks after Donna and confronts them. They hand a shocked Rocco their copy of "Temptation" with Donna's cover story and nude shots.
Rocco pays Nick a visit and blasts him for calling himself Donna's friend. He punches Nick for publishing Donna's pictures and explains that "Temptation" can still be bought on every newsstand. Nick realizes Bill sent out more magazines. Nick confronts his boss, but Bill does not care. Thorne and Caroline fight over the issue of Angela and her sharing the same point of view with Ridge. Storm calls Kristen to take her up on the offer to have dinner the newlyweds. Kristen picks up on Margo not feeling well. Yet, Kristen does not grasp that Margo is pregnant nor her having feelings for Clarke is the cause for her grumpy attitude these days. Brooke tries to cheer up Ridge. It seems to work; but then Ridge informs Brooke that - in order to protect his parent's marriage - they will have to find Eric's girlfriend.
Brooke confides in Storm that her relationship with Ridge is in danger because he is desperate to locate the woman Eric is seeing. She then advises her brother to forget about newlywed Kristen. Storm then leaves to have dinner with the Garrisons. Rocco breaks it to a shocked Donna that the magazine with her nude shots is still on sale. Meanwhile, Katie finds out that Donna is a centerfold model in filthy "Temptation" and gets very upset. Clarke tries to reason with Margo, but she is not willing to compromise. Margo reminds Clarke that he has more to lose than she and she has to keep her baby's interest in mind. Unnoticed by Clarke, Margo leaves lipstick on his collar to drive a wedge between him and his wife. It is Storm and not Kristen, though, who confronts Clarke about it. Clarke quickly changes shirts. Will Storm stay mum?
Clarke, Kristen and Storm have dinner at Café Russe. Storm teases Clarke with the lipstick incident earlier while Clarke boasts a rather rude tone towards Storm. When Clarke leaves to give Margo a call to blasts her for the lipstick stain, the pregnant designer immediately retaliates. Margo calls Kristen's answering machine to inform her that she has to tell her something. Stephanie walks into Ridge's and Brooke's date at the Forrester Mansion. In a private moment, Stephanie and Brooke argue as to who will receive more blame from Ridge when he finds out that Eric is involved with Beth. Eventually, Stephanie asks Ridge not to find out who Eric is seeing. Brooke thanks her, but Stephanie remains cold to her and claims that she did not do this for Brooke.
Storm fills Brooke in on his dinner date and that Kristen's husband cannot be trusted. Meanwhile, Clarke tells Kristen that it is obvious that Storm is interested in her sexually and not just as a friend. Kristen then discovers Margo's message on her answering machine and arranges a meeting for the next morning. Katie confronts Donna about the photos. Donna apologizes for putting the family in the spotlight, yet she defends her work and says that she will continue to try making a better living for herself and the family. When Eric seems preoccupied during their evening at the Ocean Club, Beth begins to worry that he might reunite with Stephanie because of Angela.
Thorne informs Ridge that he wants to take a vacation with Caroline. When Stephanie finds out that Caroline is reluctant to leave on this trip - citing work as the reason -, Stephanie urges her to work on her marriage. Margo's plan to talk to Kristen is delayed because of business. Clarke surprises Margo and realizes that she is about to drop the bomb on Kristen. Margo explains that she has had enough of his sweet talking. Cornered, Clarke shouts at Margo that she will lose her job and her child her father because he will never speak to her again or care for the child if she tells Kristen the truth.
During an urgent business meeting with Ridge and Kristen, Eric gets annoyed by Margo's absence who has called in sick. In her apartment, Margo is shocked that Clarke would cut her out of his life and deny the baby of his father if she were to tell Kristen the truth. Clarke claims that Margo would never ruin his marriage to Kristen if she loved him. Margo is deeply disappointed and asks him to leave. Stephen Logan makes a surprise appearance at Forrester Creations. He explains to Eric that he made a shocking discovery this morning when he saw Beth's new high-end wardrobe and assumes that he is benefactor. Stephen confronts Eric about dating his wife. Eric admits to it, but makes no apologies. Thus Stephen declares that he will fight for Beth. Clarke has a nightmare of being confronted by Ridge and Kristen for his adultery. Meanwhile, Margo beats around the bush with Kristen who advises her to fight for the man she loves. Will Margo eventually reveal to Kristen that she is having Clarke's baby?
Clarke is relieved to hear that except for her bizarre behavior, Kristen did not find out anything from Margo. Clarke advises his wife to cut all ties with Margo. Meanwhile, Storm confides in Brooke that he is upset that Kristen is married to a cad. At Forrester Creations, Margo queries Ridge to recommend an attorney to help her deal with her lover. He recommends Storm. Rocco asks Ridge for help to find Nick's boss. Thorne and Brooke admit to each other that they both worry that Ridge still has feelings for Caroline. Later, Ridge expresses to Brooke that she is the only woman that he wants.
Nick is happy when Donna shows up at his apartment. Donna's only motivation is to press Nick to reveal the name of his boss, though, which he refuses. Stephanie meets up with Bill to inquire about his latest employee whose salary she is paying. Bill explains that Stephen Logan is doing very good work at Spencer Publications which delights Stephanie. She bluntly asks Bill whether he can transfer him to Europe. Later, Bill tells Rocco that it will be nearly impossible to uncover the head honcho. Storm meets with his new client Margo. She is set on revenge and wants to file a paternity suit.
Storm tells Brooke about his disastrous lunch date. Brooke is stunned to hear that Kristen considers him a liar, but Storm thinks that he has an ace to right this wrong: Clarke's infidelity as evidenced by the lipstick stain recently. Later, Storm pressures Clarke to tell Kristen the truth. Clarke refuses to budge and taunts Storm that he would never hurt Kristen - and that is exactly what the story of him being unfaithful would do to his wife. An appalled Storm punches Clarke in the face, just as Kristen returns home and furiously orders Storm to leave. Citing her being impartial to Clarke - unlike him or Kristen -, Ridge asks Margo to critique Clarke's work. Rocco informs Donna that he got nowhere in his quest to uncover the real publisher of "Temptation". Donna is not willing to give up on finding Nick's boss, though.

Just as she is about to talk to her husband, Thorne becomes seriously ill and collapses in pain in his office.
Eric and Caroline escort Thorne as he is rushed to Cedars Hospital after doubling up with pain at work. Ridge asks Stephanie to have dinner with him and Brooke which she declines. When she gets word that Thorne was hospitalized, Stephanie keeps mum and quietly exits. At the hospital it is revealed that Thorne's appendix has ruptured meaning that he has to go into surgery. Even though she correctly assumes that Eric feels drawn to Stephanie because of Angela, Brooke urges Beth to fight for her happiness. Unrelated to one another Stephanie and Ridge have strange visits with Thorne at the hospital who shouts that he wants to be left alone. Ridge asks Margo for her critique on Clarke's latest designs. Margo acts reluctant, but eventually remarks that the designer's work has been going downhill ever since he married.
Clarke informs Kristen that Margo seems to be holding back his sketches from her father. When she doubts that Margo would do something like that, Clarke slyly feeds Kristen's mind with suspicions that her alleged best friend is envious of her happy marriage and his talent. Kristen makes a beeline to Eric who is astounded by Clarke's stellar work which he indeed has not seen before. Meanwhile, Margo discusses the next steps to assert pressure on Clarke. Later, Brooke tells Ridge that Thorne is in a better mood now. Beth is frustrated over the tenuous situation, but Brooke urges her to remain positive. Eric visits Angela. Listening to Dr. Powell's stories of how Stephanie considers her feeble daughter her most precious gift, Eric feeds Angela and realizes what a tough choice it was to keep her existence a secret all those years. Stephanie arrives and they bond over their care for Angela. Later, Brooke confronts Stephanie about planning Stephen's transfer. Stephanie admits to it. At the Ocean Club, Eric tells Beth that he no longer wants to divorce Stephanie. Beth is deeply hurt.
Brooke informs Donna, Katie and Storm about Stephen's promotion and that his job relies on his willingness to relocate. Storm hopes that Stephen will go to Paris alone. Brooke, Donna and Storm clarify that they will stay in L.A. - but what about Beth? Katie and Donna hope that their mother will join Stephen. Stephanie cautions Brooke that she could lose a lot if Ridge ever finds out that she knew the entire time about the identity of Eric's other woman. Brooke promises to make Stephanie pay for what she did to Beth.
Clarke is served with legal papers from Margo. Ridge and Kristen wonder why Margo's opinion of Clarke's sketches was so negative when Eric considers them amazing. Kristen tells Ridge that she hopes this increases her husband's chances to get a proper office at Forrester Creations. Donna and Nick work on a plan to get even with Bill Spencer. Clarke is shocked to hear that Margo hired Storm as her lawyer on recommendation of Ridge. Margo tries to make Clarke understand that she has to protect the best interests of her and her baby. Stephanie finds out from Bill that Stephen has not agreed to move to Paris yet and therefore decides to get involved. Stephanie pays Beth a courtesy visit feigning interest in her health as well as her personal life. She then does her best to talk Beth into relocating to Paris. Storm offers Clarke a one-way-out to end all legal disputes: a payment of $60,000 for Margo's baby within two weeks or they will go to court. Later, Margo confides in Storm that she still loves Clarke and actually wants him back. Brooke is shocked to walk into an innocent-acting Stephanie giving Beth self-serving advice. She cannot believe why Beth would listen to Stephanie. Beth thinks that leaving for Europe might be the best solution for herself to get over Eric and maybe even work on her marriage.
Donna and Nick have worked out a scheme to get even with Bill. Rocco hopes that it will work out. Later, Donna - sporting fake glasses and a different hairstyle - shows up at Spencer Publications. Posing as journalism student Jamie Kensington, Donna asks Bill for an internship. Despite his request that she take off her glasses, Donna is relived that Mr. Spencer does not seem to recognize her and is willing to consider her wish. Alone, the publisher muses about the strange coincidence to have "Savannah" ask him for a job. Brooke and Storm wonder how Stephen will decide on his job ultimatum. Beth then stuns her children when she tells Storm to stop her divorce proceedings. Brooke pays an ominous visit to Eric, alluding that another woman has deeply wounded Beth. Eric explains to Brooke that giving up on Beth was not easy for him. Beth tells Stephen that she will move to Paris with him. She stresses that it is not a permanent decision, yet, and that she is not ready to commit to their marriage. Stephen is touched by Beth's vote of confidence and promises to give her time.

Later, Bill accuses Nick of sending Donna to him in disguise, but Nick denies it and bolster Donna's story. Eric confronts Margo why she rejected Clarke's sketches. Margo almost confesses her reasons when Clarke walks into the office. Clarke feasts on Eric's praises. Margo leaves to argue with Kristen over bypassing her by showing Eric her husband's sketches despite her veto. At home, Clarke tells Kristen that Eric liked his sketches. While Kristen is thrilled for him, she is still concerned about the state of her friendship with Margo. Suddenly, Kristen gets an idea what might cause her best friend's erratic behavior and mood swings: could Margo be pregnant?
Brooke informs Caroline that her mother-in-law has played god with her family, resulting in Beth and Stephen moving to Paris last night. Caroline, who has once lived with the Logans, is stunned. Subsequently, both Brooke and Stephanie try to form an alliance and get Caroline on their side against the respective other. Caroline tries to remain neural and not get involved. Stephanie later increases the pressure and asks Caroline point blank if she can live with the looming future of Ridge settling with Brooke. Thorne tells Ridge how happy he is with Caroline and suggests that Ridge marry Brooke.
Brooke, Donna and Katie can hardly believe that their mother actually moved to Paris. Brooke reminds her younger sisters that they must live on their own now. Donna and Katie are surprised to hear that Stephanie continues to give Brooke a hard time at the Forrester Mansion. Meanwhile, Stephanie asks Caroline for her help in getting Brooke out of Ridge's life, but Caroline is neutral. Clarke makes Margo a seemingly lucrative offer if she will be quiet about the baby: 10% of all his future income and his commitment to be part of her pregnancy and help her raise the child. Margo promises to consider this offer. Later, Kristen confronts Margo with her hunch that she is pregnant. Margo confirms it and Kristen is highly supportive.
Margo presents Storm Clarke's offer. The attorney quickly bursts Margo's bubble and explains that the so-called agreement will not be binding at all. Storm strongly warns Margo to fall for Clarke's charm and lies again. Later, Margo shocks Clarke that she upholds her ultimatum: either he will pay her 100,000 $ in two days or she will file a law-suit. A desperate Clarke asks a confused Kristen for the money. Ridge gives Brooke a striking dress. Brooke then leaves to talk to Caroline in order to find out whether Stephanie is plotting against her. Caroline admits that Stephanie wants to get rid of her. Brooke asks Caroline for her help. Caroline reminds Brooke that due to her record it is still not easy for her to trust her.
Clarke asks Kristen for 100,000 $ to pay off Margo. With his oozing charm, he makes it sound, though, as if needs the money to buy a fantastic surprise for his wife. Former lovers Ridge and Margo have an intimate conversation in which she confesses to him about her pregnancy. Nick is concerned that Bill might not buy Donna's story. Donna has put in a lot of time and research in order to sway the publisher. At Spencer Publications, Donna wins Bill actually over and becomes his intern as part of her plan to get revenge for the nude shots. Thorne is surprised to learn of an impromptu business trip of Caroline. The plot thickens for him when Ridge also announces that he is going to New York today. Could his wife be having an affair with his brother?
Thorne informs Brooke about the striking coincidence of Ridge and Caroline leaving on a business trip to New York at the same time, yet refutes her concerns that there could be something going on. Meanwhile, Ridge decides to cancel his trip after talking to Caroline and realizing that both Thorne and Brooke might react miffed. Upon saying goodbye to his wife, Thorne admits to Caroline that he feels bad about ever being suspicious of them living in the same house with Ridge. Later, Thorne takes one of Stephanie's sleeping pills to fight his insomnia. Eric and Stephanie bask in the pleasure that two of their children seem to have settled in happy marriages. Stephanie confides in Eric that Thorne's relationship to Caroline has been in serious danger not too long ago. Unfortunately and unnoticed by his parents, a stunned Thorne overhears Stephanie telling Eric about Caroline's drunken fling with Ridge.
Thorne is shocked to hear his mother reveal to his father that Ridge had sex with Caroline after an adult prank went wrong. Still unnoticed, a depressed Thorne goes to a bar and recaps the past months of his marriage. Rocco is thrilled when Ridge allows him to watch a fitting with Eric. Clarke arrives to ask for a proper office at Forrester Creations. Ridge wants to consider it. When Clarke wants a press release on his joining the company, Ridge warns his brother-in-law not to overtax. Then, Clarke notices that Ridge has altered one of his sketches which enrages him. A bitter argument ensues. Meanwhile, a drunken Thorne returns home and picks up a gun from Stephanie's bedside table.
Eric and Stephanie worry about Thorne who has disappeared ever since he took the sleeping pills. At Forrester Creations, Ridge gives Rocco a pep talk. With their parents out of town, Katie, Donna, and Brooke throw a small surprise birthday party for Storm. The girls even convince Brooke to stay for the night. Later, Brooke hints to Storm Stephanie is backstabbing her just as Stephanie tells Ridge that he could do better than Brooke. Meanwhile, dazed by alcohol and pills Thorne wanders around the Forrester Estate. He begins to put together Caroline's strange behavior in recent months with her and Ridge having sex. This infuriates Thorne so much that he follows Ridge on the grounds. Suddenly, Thorne pulls the gun and shoots Ridge in the back.
Stephanie accidentally becomes witness to a shocking crime: Thorne shooting Ridge in the head. Meanwhile, Caroline and Bill bond during their business trip to New York. Caroline admits to Bill that she will probably never be completely over Ridge. Back in L.A., Katie and Donna enjoy popcorn with Brooke and want to know all about her life with Ridge and the Forresters. Brooke really misses Ridge even if they are just separated for one night. At the Forrester Mansion, Stephanie runs to the gardens where she finds the motionless Ridge as Eric calls for an ambulance. Stephanie discovers the gun and hides it. Paramedics arrive who think Ridge might have suffered severe brain damage. Eric accompanies them to Cedars Hospital. There, Dr. Garrett presents a first assessment of Ridge's condition and it is not looking too bright: it is still unclear whether Ridge will survive. Stephanie finds Thorne passed out in his bedroom and smelling liquor in his breath.
Stephanie has a hard time grasping that Thorne shot Ridge and is now lying passed out on his bed. When Maria asks what happened earlier, Stephanie gives her just the short story that Ridge was hospitalized and decides to hide the gun. At Cedars Hospital, Eric and Stephanie learn from Dr. Tucker that the bullet is still in Ridge's head and might hurt the brain. They are shocked to hear that Ridge's chances for survival are less than 50/50. Then, Lt. Brian Burke from the Beverly Hills Police Department arrives to question the Forresters about the shooting. Eric mentions that Stephanie saw it, but she cannot decide what to tell the police. They therefore adjourn the questioning for the next day. Clarke returns home huffing and puffing about his fight with Ridge. She sides with her brother which brings Clarke in another delicate situation. Kristen decides to not give her husband 100,000 $ for an alleged surprise. Meanwhile, Margo confides in Storm that she felt the baby kick for the first time today. Storm reassures her that Clarke will get the money because too much is riding on it for him.
The doctors inform Eric and Stephanie that they are taking Ridge into surgery now. Stephanie then leaves home in order to wake up Thorne from his drunken state. She begins to realize that Thorne must have shot his brother on purpose. When Brooke calls to speak to Ridge, Stephanie brushes her off without revealing what is going on. Over breakfast, Brooke and Storm talk about the hardship Mrs. Forrester is being on her. Bill is thrilled because Caroline is making quite big waves in New York. Their business trip is cut short, though, when they get word that Ridge was shot. A shocked Caroline calls L.A. to get confirmation. Stephanie encourages Caroline to return immediately because it is not looking good for Ridge.
Katie stuns Donna and Brooke with news she just heard on the radio: Ridge was shot. Brooke is furious with Stephanie for not telling her. She rushes to the hospital where Eric fills her in on Ridge's condition. At the Forrester Mansion, Thorne finally awakens with a splitting headache and other signs of a hangover. Stephanie is perplexed because it seems like Thorne remembers nothing of what happened last night. To test her son, Stephanie informs Thorne that Ridge was shot by an intruder. Thorne acts genuinely surprised and encourages his mother to talk to the police. Right on cue, Maria enters to announce that Lt. Burke has arrived for questioning.
Eric and Brooke anxiously await news about Ridge's surgery. Caroline arrives from New York and is shocked to find out about Ridge's grave condition. Dr. Tucker then tells them that the operation went better than expected, yet it is still uncertain whether Ridge will survive. Thorne does not remember the shooting at all. Stephanie hushes Thorne out of the house and reluctantly meets with the police. Lt. Burke explains to Stephanie that it is best to begin the investigation quickly. Stephanie claims that she witnessed the shooting, but keeps vague on the details - citing her overlaying concern for Ridge. Clarke sweet-talks Kristen and she begins to reconsider giving him the money. With time running out on him, Clarke therefore keeps the news of Ridge's accident from his wife after he finds a message from Eric on the answering machine.
Eric calls the Garrisons again to let them know that Ridge was shot. Kristen storms off to the hospital immediately, leaving Clarke in quite a predicament. He goes to see Margo and breaks the shocking news of Ridge's shooting to her. Clarke then asks Margo for an extension, but she refuses to fall for Clarke's act and threatens to go to court now. Suddenly, Margo realizes that Eric will miss out on a meeting with an important buyer at Forrester Creations. To her and assistant Trish's greatest surprise, Clarke is more than willing to take Eric's place and court the elusive Cindy Driscoll. Thorne arrives at Cedars Hospital and joins Caroline and Brooke worrying about his brother. Stephanie and Eric share a tender moment hoping that Ridge will pull through. At the same time, Stephanie hopes Thorne really cannot remember anything about last night.
Thorne, Caroline and Brooke keep vigil at Cedars Hospital while Eric is resting. Brooke wonders why Stephanie is hardly ever around at the hospital whilst her eldest son is fighting for his life. Then, Dr. Marley allows the family to see Ridge. Addressed by Caroline, Ridge shortly opens his eyes, but apart from that, it is an unusual sight of a vital young man being very week and barely hanging on to life. During a visit with Angela, Stephanie asks Todd about the effects that sleeping pills can have on people. Dr. Powell explains to Stephanie that drugs and alcohol make a very dangerous combination and could at least result in temporary memory loss or erratic behavior. Later, Lt. Burke and a team of forensics search the crime scene at the Forrester Mansion. Stephanie is highly annoyed by the Lieutenant's questions, yet she is relieved that the police have not found her gun yet.
Brooke and Caroline continue to watch over a comatose Ridge. Thorne then informs them that Stephanie wants to speak to all of them. Meanwhile, Kristen tells Eric about Clarke stepping in at Forrester Creations. Eric is furious. Lt. Burke questions Dr. Marley about his patient and learns that it is still unsure whether Ridge will wake up and what kind of brain damage he might have suffered. Burke is surprised to see that Ridge was hit by a very old bullet. Eric and Stephanie break it to the family that it is possible that Ridge will never be the same again. Suddenly, Dr. Marley gives the family some good news: Ridge is out of the coma, even though he remains unresponsive. Stephanie rushes to her son's bedside. Lt. Burke calls Forrester Creations to request an appointment to speak to Thorne.
Dr. Marley and Eric urge Stephanie to have patience and remain positive that Ridge will eventually be able to speak again. Brooke, Caroline and Kristen also gather around Ridge's bed, wondering who shot him. Thorne does his best to help Lt. Burke with the investigation, not knowing that he is actually the culprit. Thorne thinks that Ridge was shot by a prowler, but Burke thinks it may not have been a stranger. Meanwhile, Ridge suddenly starts talking to everyone's relief. Donna fills Nick in that she is still optimistic that her revenge plan will work. At Spencer Publications, Donna begins to win Bill over and he surprisingly invites her to dinner.
Donna informs Nick that she has to take a rain check because she is going to have dinner with Bill. Nick urges Donna to be careful on her date with Mr. Spencer. Later at his apartment, the publisher is very turned on by Donna. Ridge finally wakes up, recognizing his family and being able to speak. Caroline exits the hospital room to talk to Lt. Burke. The lieutenant is intrigued to find out that Caroline used to be engaged to Ridge which makes him suspicious of Thorne. Caroline quickly sets the record straight that there is absolutely no animosity between the Forrester brothers because of her. Caroline walks in as Ridge kisses Brooke.
Eric is agitated when he finds Clarke sitting at his desk making a call with shipping. He throws Clarke out, but later learns from Margo about Clarke's stellar performance during his appointment with the buyer. Margo convinces Eric to give Clarke his own office at Forrester Creations. Clarke goes to thank Margo who makes it clear that her only concern is to get her money from him. At home, Kristen informs Clarke that Ridge is out of the woods. She then surprises her husband by giving him a check over 100,000 Dollars. Rocco pays Nick a visit and they discuss Donna's dangerous plan to charm Bill and manage to take nude pictures of the man. Meanwhile, Bill spoils Donna aka. Jamie Kensington with a private dinner at his apartment. He is definitely intrigued by his intern, yet does not seduce her.
During her visit to Angela, Stephanie questions Todd about the human brain. Stephanie learns that Thorne's memory loss will probably be temporary. Storm visits Brooke at the Forrester Mansion who tells him that she was just questioned by the police. Ridge is overwhelmed to find out that he was shot in the head. Thorne explains that he is not of much help because he slept through this night due to the sleeping pills. Lt. Burke informs Eric that Stephanie's recollection of the night of the shooting does not add for him. Eric explains that it was an eventful night; for instance they were unable to find Thorne until after the shooting. Ridge is happy to have Brooke by his side in the hospital and they share a passionate kiss.
Lt. Burke learns from a C.S.I. that the bullet did not open up new leads on the Forrester case. The Lieutenant leaves to talk to Bill. The publisher does not mince words and openly admits that he hates Ridge. Stephanie explains to Eric that she hates the police investigation because it seems like they are all suspects. Rocco, who wonders if he should go to the police, opens up to Stephanie about Ridge's fight with Clarke and his feeling that Clarke may have shot Ridge. Stephanie immediately jumps at the opportunity to divert suspicion from Thorne. Caroline visits Ridge in the hospital. She feels responsible for him being shot because he would have been in New York that night if it were not for her.
Lt. Burke continues with his investigation at Forrester Creations questioning Rocco and Kristen about Clarke's fight and relationship with Ridge. Confronted by Lt. Burke that he had a motive but no alibi for the night of the shooting, Clarke loses his temper. Donna has to calm down Nick that she will not get intimate with Bill, even though she is determined to catch the publisher in the flesh to violate his privacy the same way that he did with her. Later, Bill asks Jamie aka. Donna out on another date. Nick wants to get proactive and asks Rocco for help who enlists Griffey's waitress Stacy to pose as a masseuse and snap pictures of the naked Bill.
Lt. Burke can finally question the victim of his investigation. Ridge tells the lieutenant all about the night of the shooting which he remembers. Nick and Rocco give Griffey's waitress Stacy a crash course and set up a massage table at Nick's place. Poor butler Ramone becomes the guinea pig for Nick's plan just as he cancels Bill's actual massage appointment. Bill confirms with Donna that he is looking forward to their dinner. When Bill learns that his usual masseuse has canceled their appointment, he is quite dismayed. Stacy secretly sets up her camera in his office and promises Bill a massage like he has never experienced before.
Brooke and Caroline have a talk at the scene of the shooting. Brooke confronts Caroline that she saw her kissing Ridge at the hospital recently and urges her to focus on her marriage. Later, Thorne insists on making love to Caroline. She secretly cries. Bill is far from impressed by Stacy's massage. Just as Bill calls it quits, Stacy pulls the towel from him and takes several pictures with her hidden camera. After Nick learns the good news, he immediately calls Donna to tell her to cancel dinner with Bill. Nick and Rocco toast Stacy for her good work to get nude pictures of Mr. Spencer. They are then shocked to find out that the photos are not useful. Donna decides to go out with Bill anyway who grudgingly accepts.
Donna aka. Jamie Kensington arrives at Bill's and must realize that Bill has taken ill on her back and forth regarding their dinner appointment. Bill informs Donna that he has no time for her and sends her home. Brooke tries to make friends with Stephanie who makes it clear that Brooke should not hold her breath: the only way she will learn to accept Brooke is if she moves out of her home. Brooke counters that she will not just walk away from Ridge. Lt. Burke shows up at Forrester Creations having questions about Thorne and his whereabouts during the night of the shooting. Eric has trouble understanding why he is so curious about his younger son. Yet, Lt. Burke considers Thorne more and more a suspect in his case. Meanwhile, Thorne implies with Stephanie that she is overly protective of Ridge and prefers him. A shaken Stephanie tells Thorne to never doubt her love for him.
Brooke surprises Ridge at the hospital by wearing the sexy red dress that he gave her recently. She then crawls into bed with him. Eric explains to Stephanie that the police seem to be investigating their family and in particular Thorne. Stephanie indicates that she might be Thorne's alibi. Meanwhile, Lt. Burke questions Thorne again. Thorne is very open about what he did the night of Ridge's shooting and what he cannot remember due to taking sleeping pills. Thorne realizes that Burke considers him a suspect and counters that this story just does not add up: Stephanie would have recognized him because she has seen the shooter from the back!?
Storm walks into Kristen at Forrester Creations while looking for his client. Kristen continues to give Storm the cold shoulder, still thinking that he is after her. Margo is disappointed that Clarke shows no interest in her baby whatsoever. She warns him that she might still tell Kristen. Later, Storm reminds Margo that she will lose the money if she opens up to anyone about Clarke being the father. Margo says that she will eventually tell the child, but for now she will try her best to stay calm. Kristen happily gives Clarke a first glimpse at his new office which she is personally taking care of decorating. After months of denial as means of self-protection, Katie finally confronts Rocco why he is being so distant despite giving her an engagement ring. Rocco admits to Katie that her ring was meant for Donna. Understandably, Katie is crushed that Rocco does not love her.
Donna finds out from Rocco that Katie knows the truth about his feelings for her. Donna then tries to comfort Katie about Rocco's rejection and explains that he never made a play for her. Ridge asks Stephanie to be kinder to Brooke because he is serious about her. Lt. Burke discusses his hunch that Thorne is the shooter with his forensic specialist Tom Mason. Later, Stephanie finds a shaken Thorne at the Forrester Mansion who wants to know what he did after taking the sleeping pills. Taking extreme measures, Stephanie now reassures her son claiming that he was in his room sleeping and therefore did not shoot Ridge.
Lt. Burke is surprised when Stephanie produces an alibi for Thorne. He is highly suspicious why she would suddenly change her story that she did not see Ridge's shooter properly, yet she cannot give a proper description of the man. Could Stephanie be hiding something? After having a very vivid daydream about him, Caroline visits Ridge in the hospital. She is thrilled that he is doing a lot better and will be released soon. Caroline dances around the topic that she actually still loves Ridge. Clarke thanks Eric for giving him a proper office who reminds his son-in-law that despite strokes of genius he has still a lot to learn as a designer. Kristen is thrilled to work in the same building with her husband. Kristen then makes another attempt to patch up her friendship with Margo who takes her up on the offer to help with her pregnancy.
Ridge presses Caroline to finally tell him why she stopped by. Caroline almost confesses her love to Ridge, but is interrupted by Thorne. Later, Caroline feels trapped when Thorne reveals how much he loves her. Eric joins Stephanie during her visit with Angela. He remarks that the family has picked up on the fact that she is desperately trying to hide something. Stephanie shrugs it off. A little bit later, Stephanie is shocked to realize that Thorne probably overheard her talking to Eric about Ridge sleeping with Caroline meaning that she might be responsible for driving her son over the edge. At the club, Lt. Burke questions the bartender about Thorne's visit during the night of the shooting which gives the lieutenant the final pieces of the puzzle to solve the case.
Brooke visits Ridge and they talk about Stephanie's weird behavior as of late. Valerie notices that Caroline is preoccupied, yet will not reveal what is bothering her. Valerie gives Caroline the number for a marriage counselor. Ridge and Thorne discuss how the shooting has re-rooted the priorities within the Forrester family. Thorne suggests that Ridge should propose marriage to Brooke soon. Margo is still reluctant to become close to Kristen again, but she makes it clear how much she values their friendship and therefore want to comfort Margo about the baby. Rocco picks up on the fact that Clarke seems to be too comfortable with the fact that Ridge is in the hospital. He warns the designer that "the boss" will soon be coming back to work. When he tells her to stay away from his wife, Margo taunts Clarke that she still has one trump card which would not violate their agreement: she could be naming the baby after him.
Nick tries to whisk Donna away on vacation, but she is still determined to get her revenge on Bill. At Spencer Publications, Bill is stunned when Donna aka. Jamie hands in her resignation and apologizes for her behavior last week. Bill is impressed and invites her to dinner to make up. Meanwhile, Nick and Rocco come up with a new way to get nude shots of Bill. Clarke pays Ridge a surprise visit in the hospital. Feigning concern, Clarke suggests that he and Ridge should make friends. Brooke confides in Thorne that Ridge seems changed. With her insecurities and Stephanie's hostility getting the best of her, Brooke decides to move back home. Thorne is alarmed and warns Brooke that this is a terrible mistake.
Kristen is surprised to find Clarke in her brother's office and warns her husband that Ridge will not be happy if he finds out. Clarke then holds a showing to win over a crucial buyer from Australia, a market that Forrester Creations has not been serving historically. Eric visits Ridge in the hospital to tell him that Clarke has been working hard to make his mark at the company and now has his own office. Ridge advises his father that they should watch Mr. Garrison closely. Thorne asks Stephanie to be kinder towards Brooke. Lt. Burke is stunned when Stephanie informs him that she and Eric want the investigation ended immediately. The Lieutenant makes a beeline to Eric who dismisses the fact that he wants the case closed. Eric is puzzled as to why Stephanie would claim so.
Brooke delights Storm by moving back home. Eric confronts Stephanie over calling off the police investigation of Ridge's shooting. After Eric threatens to begin his own inquiry, Stephanie reveals that Thorne shot Ridge.
Stephanie informs Eric that Thorne was doped up on sleeping pills when he shot Ridge, thus has no recollection of the shooting. Caroline tells Bill that she plans to seek marriage counseling with Thorne.
Brooke explains to Donna that she moved back home to test Ridges love. Stephanie is overjoyed by the news of Brook's departure. Eric attempts to revive Thorne's memory of the shooting by taking him to pick up Ridge at the hospital.
After noticing Thorne's genuine concern for Ridge's well being, Eric calls off the police investigation. Margo and Storm confer on suing Clarke for child support. Kristen tells Clarke that Storm is probably the father of Margo's child.
Bill asks Caroline if Ridge is the reason she seeks marriage counseling. Eric informs Stephanie that they are in agreement about calling off the police investigation. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Burke concludes that Thorne is the shooter.
Lieutenant Burke surprises Stephanie by serving her with a search warrant. Eric arrives in time to watch Stephanie hand over a gun to the police officer. Next, Stephanie shocks everyone present by confessing to be the one who shot Ridge.
Donna gets an article published. Bill notices that the article accuses Spencer of exploiting women. Caroline meets with her marriage counselor. Stephanie tells Lieutenant Burke that she shot Ridge after mistaking him for a burglar.
Bill informs Thorne about Caroline seeking advice from a marriage counselor. Ridge tells Caroline that someone is trying to kill him. While under questioning, Stephanie repeats her confession to Lieutenant Burke.
Clarke reluctantly gives Kristen permission to throw Margo a baby shower. Later, Kristen meets with Margo to offer support during her pregnancy. After lying in wait, Rocco takes nude snapshots of Bill in the gym sauna.
Rocco shows Donna the nude photos of Bill. Donna happily agrees to publish Bill's pics as a form of payback. Storm meets with Margo to discuss Clarke's child support. After noticing them, Kristen is sure that Storm is the father.
The baby shower for Margo continues at the Forrester Mansion, even though with fewer guests after Kristen has accompanied an allegedly sick Clarke home. Margo uses the opportunity to tell Caroline that she married the better of the two Forrester brothers. Meanwhile, Thorne assures Storm that Ridge and Brooke will eventually marry. Down by the pool, Ridge finally says the words that Brooke has wanted to hear for so long: he loves her. Eric and Stephanie consult with their lawyer. Eric brings Mark Adams up to speed on Stephanie's confession to the police and Stephanie reluctantly opens up that she is covering for Thorne who under the influence shot his brother.
Stephanie and Eric have barely slept all night and wonder if Lt. Burke will follow through and make an arrest. When she spots Ridge and Thorne goofing around at the breakfast table, Stephanie tells both her sons how much she loves them. Later, Lt. Burke and Det. Powers arrive to give an update on the investigation. The Forrester matriarch continues to play brazen. Burke then arrests Stephanie, hoping she will eventually admit the truth to get out of jail. Katie, Donna and Storm are happy that Brooke came home last night. Brooke now tells the siblings her happy news that Ridge finally confessed his love to her and that she will move back into the Forrester Mansion tonight. Katie is disappointed.
Lt. Burke explains to Det. Powers that there is only one way how they can make Mrs. Forrester admit to her lie and that she is covering for her son Thorne. He then gives Ruth Bloom, the warden, specific instructions to make life especially hard for Stephanie in prison. Stephanie is flabbergasted that she will not be released immediately on bail. Ridge tries to tame Clarke's ego and critiques his brother-in-law's latest designs by calling them outdated. Later, Ridge informs Thorne that he said the magic words to Brooke and that they are now back on as a couple. Caroline walks in on Brooke moving back into the Forrester Mansion. Brooke tells Caroline that she wants to be her friend again. Caroline is reluctant and remarks that Brooke does not deserve Ridge.
Stephanie's nightmare continues: wearing a blue jump suit like any ordinary detainee, the wealthy Forrester Matriarch is processed at the police station and Det. Powers does not give her any hope for an immediate release. Eric tries to visit his wife, but is only allowed to speak to her through bars. He then calls family lawyer Mark Adams who fails to get her out on bail. Warder Bloom informs Stephanie that she will spend the night in jail. Meanwhile, Ridge and Kristen worry about Stephanie until Eric calls and lies that he is going to spend the night with Stephanie at a secret location.
Eric gets frustrated when Mark confirms that Stephanie will have to spend the night in jail. The lawyer also warns Eric that if Burke actually files a public record tomorrow morning it might not take long until the family finds out. Meanwhile, the other prisoners hassle Stephanie who they recognize from the society pages of the paper. Stephanie refuses to tell them anything. Thorne realizes that Caroline is far from thrilled that Brooke has moved back in with Ridge. Later, Ridge informs Caroline that he asked Brooke repeatedly to come back and that he told her that he loves her. Caroline is disappointed.
Caroline has an interesting session with Dr. Cameron who comes to the conclusion that she seems unsure whether Ridge will reunite with her if she were to divorce. Through her therapist Caroline further realizes that she must either hurt Thorne by leaving or be unhappy by staying. Meanwhile, Thorne encourages Ridge to use his influence on both Caroline and Brooke to make sure that they become friends again. After spending the night in prison, Stephanie gets leery when she spots one of her cell-mates from last night in a police uniform. Accompanied by Eric and her lawyer Mark, Lt. Burke then leads her to the D.A.'s office. There, Burke makes a plea for Eric and Stephanie to tell the truth because they are covering for the real shooter, Thorne. Stephanie stands firm and refuses to cooperate. She is therefore stunned when Lt. Burke suddenly announces that he is releasing her without charges.
Rocco marvels in the success of getting nude shots of Mr. Spencer and Nick confirms that he has found a way to plant them in "Stud" magazine, a salacious magazine for women. Unbeknownst to them, Donna is not ending her career at Spencer Publications just yet. Bill presents a thrilled Donna her first article who accepts another dinner invitation from the publishing tycoon. Later, Nick, Donna and Rocco realize that Nick's office is being bugged. Kristen cautions Clarke, but he is eager to close the Australia deal without any consultation with Eric or Ridge. Suddenly, they get word that Margo has gone into labor. The ordeal of Lt. Burke's investigation finally behind them, Eric and Stephanie visit Angela and reflect on Thorne shooting Ridge. Eric advises Stephanie against opening up to Ridge. When they leave Santa Monica, Angela seems to watch her parents closely.
While Kristen is frantically looking for Margo assuming that she is in labor, Margo shows up in Clarke's office where he tells her that he does not care about her or the baby at all. Margo is hurt. Later, Kristen asks Margo to move in with her and Clarke until the baby is born. Margo accepts out of spite for Clarke. Brooke explains to Storm that her return to the Forrester household has been very pleasant so far because Stephanie was nowhere to be seen. Ridge and Thorne grow impatient with their parents and their mysterious absence last night. Eric and Stephanie decide on shielding their children from the truth and exact extent of the police investigation. They therefore keep mum when questioned by Ridge and Thorne.
Thorne is angry that Caroline would rather confide in a psychiatrist than him. Brooke's act of seduction is working until she and Ridge realize that they are overdue for Angela's party. Caroline learns of the little steam room episode as she walks in on Ridge and Brooke changing. Eric and Stephanie have decorated the bedroom of their catatonic daughter to celebrate Angela's 26th birthday. The Forrester children as well as their wives reflect on Angela's accident and her zest for life to survive the hardship of undergoing extensive plastic surgery after it. Donna tells Rocco she did not leave Spencer after she got a promotion. Rocco is worried that Donna is in way over her head.
Brooke questions Thorne about his marital life. Concerned for her own future with Ridge, she encourages Thorne to make another attempt to get intimate with his wife. Later, Caroline apologizes to Thorne for all her problems. He suggests that they make love. Ridge tells Brooke that he is worried about Kristen. Meanwhile, Clarke pays a visit to his old stomping grounds at Spectra Fashion where he is greeted by ditsy secretary Darla Einstein and grumpy head of production Saul Feinberg. Sally Spectra makes it clear to Clarke in no minced words what she expects in exchange for the 100.000 $: designs for six stunning Forrester originals which she then wants to sell as Spectra knock-offs! Clarke reluctantly agrees to the deal as it means to betray his family and to risk his own reputation. He then goes to find Kristen to prevent her from filing for divorce, but only runs into Margo.
Sally Spectra continues to taunt Clarke by holding the recordings in which he agreed to steal the Forrester designs over his head. Clarke tries to outsmart his former boss by threatening to call the police and refuses to follow up on their deal. Clarke's triumph is short-lived as Sally hires two hit men to have Clarke beaten up and thrown into a garbage container to prove that she is serious about her demands! Eric and Stephanie feel very strongly about their idea to reunite their family by having Angela move into the Forrester Mansion. Kristen is still angry with Margo over her betrayal. Sensing Kristen's concern for her marriage, Margo assures Kristen she does not expect Clarke to be a father to Mark. Later, Kristen finds her injured husband at the apartment. After Stephanie tells Todd that she wants Angela living at her home despite his concerns, something unexpected happens: the usually catatonic Angela tells Todd that she does not want to live with the Forresters!
Caroline is surprised to run into Donna in Bill's office and even more so as Bill introduces Donna to her as his protégé Jamie Kensington! Sally Spectra's ditsy assistant Darla delivers a hefty bribe to Clarke - and uses a chance to kiss him. Office mates Kristen and Margo have a hard time being civil to each other. To get clarity whether the child will have an impact on her marriage, Kristen asks Margo to bring the baby over while Clarke is home so that he can develop a bond to his son - or they finally get proof that a child will not bring him and Margo together. Ridge finds out that Clarke slept the night in his office. Clarke offers Sally some original designs instead of stealing the Forrester designs, but she is unwilling to alter their deal. Caroline informs Ridge that she must see him.
Brooke starts to get slightly annoyed that Ridge is not eager to set a wedding date. Stephanie suggests to Caroline to move with Thorne into a house of their own - in order to get room for Angela and create distance to Ridge. Caroline is hesitant. Eric and Stephanie debate whether to tell Caroline the truth about the shooting to keep her from leaving Thorne. Meanwhile, Ridge goes to meet Caroline who promises herself to longer value everyone's happiness before her own: she wants a future with Ridge!
Sally Spectra, posing as a German journalist, sneaks herself into the Forrester Creations showing. Eric, Ridge, Thorne, Clarke and Margo are busy with last minute alterations. Sally can't wait for the exhilarating moment until Eye on Fashon-editor Caroline realizes that the dresses on the runway are actually Sally Spectra Originals. Therefore, Sally's mood grows sour when none of her designs appear on stage as Clarke made additional ones just for her. Kristen presents the showstopper, a striking white wedding dress as Sally confronts Clarke.
Margo tries to calm down Clarke who gets frustrated that he participated in two major fashion collections, yet didn't receive credit for either one. Eric and Stephanie agree that it's time for Angela to be brought to a hospital for some testing. Ridge hedges Caroline's questions for a wedding date. Dressed up as an Italian business man Sally Spectra pays Clarke a visit at Forrester Creations and makes him a tempting offer: to return to Spectra Fashion as head designer! When Stephanie breaks her plan to a panicked Todd, Angela bolts upright and tells Stephanie she won't go. Stephanie faints.
Todd convinces Stephanie she imagined Angela speaking. Bill is surprised that there have been no plans set for Caroline's birthday yet. Thorne tells Ridge he wants to celebrate Caroline's birthday alone with his wife. Meanwhile, Brooke convinces Caroline to have dinner with her, Ridge and Thorne. When Stephanie insists on having Angela committed to the hospital, Angela begins to move...
Bill is relieved to hear that Thorne hasn't forgotten about Caroline's birthday. He gives his son-in-law a locket by Caroline's late mother to have the perfect gift. Ridge is impressed that Brooke could talk Caroline into a group celebration. Thorne is hurt when Caroline insists they celebrate her birthday with Ridge and Brooke. Todd and Angela continue to play their charade. When the no longer catatonic Angela begins to voice her objections against going to the hospital, they overplay their luck though: Stephanie begins to realize that Angela's miracle is a fraud.
Stephanie is no longer buying Todd's stories after Angela's miracle healing the last couple of days. A tearful Stephanie begins to realize that girl she called Angela is not her daughter after all. Todd tells Stephanie that Angela died a year ago and he replaced her to save Stephanie's feelings. Stephanie is about to call the police when the fake Angela says she knows about Thorne shooting Ridge... Brooke explains to Thorne that she wants to make up with Caroline while upstairs Caroline gives Ridge a not-so-innocent kiss. At dinner, Caroline tries to make Ridge jealous by using Thorne.
Clarke vents his frustration to Kristen about being in Eric's shadow. Later, Eric recollects his own life's story and explains to Kristen that Clarke still has a long way to go before he will be a proper designer of his own. After Bill encourages her to go after the man she loves, Margo pays Kristen a visit. With intentions far from being innocent, Margo asks Kristen once more to be the godmother for Clarke's and her baby. Across town, Sally Spectra's plan seems to work out. She welcomes Clarke with great delight and presents her "bucky boy" with a gesture which the torn designer can hardly turn down: a clothing label with his own name on it, Clarke Garrison Originals! With such a lucrative deal on the table and his ego being brushed up, will Clarke leave Forrester Creations and join forces with his former employer?
Stephanie breaks the shocking truth to Eric that the woman they have been seeing is an impostor and that their daughter Angela has been dead for 12 years. Meanwhile, a remorseful Todd wants to leave town but the fake Angela has a very different plan in mind. Margo informs Bill she followed up on his advice to get proactive to win back her baby's father and made a curious discovery: his current wife has a back-story in New York she does not want to talk about... Kristen tells Clarke about Margo's visit and that she brought up memories of times long forgotten. Eric and Stephanie confront "Angela" and Todd for lying to them all those years. When Eric wants to call the police, "Angela" turns the tables and reminds him that she and Todd now all the details about Thorne shooting Ridge!
Margo is determined to find out more about Kristen's life in New York. Clarke wonders about Margo's sudden motives for pondering a move to the East Coast. Stephanie and Eric are debating what to tell their children. Todd is upset that Angela is blackmailing the Forresters. He reminds the fake Angela that he and Stephanie had been taking care of the fragile Angela for 13 years before she died and that Stephanie's friendship meant a lot to him. Stephanie, dressed black, announces the children that Angela died the night before.
The family - including Eric - is stunned by Stephanie's announcement of Angela's death. Ridge, Thorne, Kristen and Caroline are even more surprised by Stephanie's calm explanations that their sister has already been cremated and that she plans on selling the beach house as soon as possible. Ridge and Brooke decide to visit Angela's place one last time to pick up a few things. Stephanie and Eric decide to pay Angela $250,000 for their silence. Todd feels guilty about what is happening to the Forresters, but also worries that Angela's blackmail might backfire. The fake Angela won't budge though.

As the car catches fire, the blackmail money goes up in flames as Todd and Angela lie motionless... Clarke is upset when Kristen pushes to find out who offered him the job. He visits Margo and she almost seduces him. Brooke informs a confused Thorne and Caroline that Angela is alive. Ridge arrives at the mansion looking to confront his mother, but Stephanie is not there.
Ridge and Thorne grill Stephanie about Angela. Ridge wants to know why Stephanie doesn't prosecute the impostor. Later, a letter from Todd is delivered which Ridge reads... Kristen tells Eric about Clarke's offer. Eric is disappointed and plans to talk to his son-in-law. Clarke pays Sally a visit to put the breaks on her plans for him at Spectra Fashion. Sally is on cloud nine, though, and tells Clarke that she is expecting her daughter Macy to join the company as soon as she has graduated from college.
While Thorne tells Caroline that Stephanie has not been prosecuting Todd and Angela, Ridge informs Brooke about Todd's letter to his mother that he received last night. Over breakfast, Ridge shares the news about the letter in which Todd promised to do everything to protect her secret as well as an article in the paper about Todd and Angela's death in a car accident.
