Insurance company Pacific Life will stop airing advertisements on Tucker Carlson Tonight, after the Fox News host suggested that immigrants make America “poorer and dirtier.”

Carlson opened Thursday’s broadcast by discussing mass immigration, arguing that from an economic standpoint, allowing immigrants into America is “insane” and “indefensible.”

“Instead, our leaders demand that you shut up and accept this,” Carlson continued. “‘We have a moral obligation to admit the world’s poor,’ they tell us, even if it makes our own country poorer and dirtier and more divided…. ‘Battlestar Galactica’ Is Now a Classic — 15 Years Ago, Fans Thought It Was a Mistake

‘Battlestar Galactica’ Is Now a Classic — 15 Years Ago, Fans Thought It Was a Mistake
In 2003, the San Diego Comic-Con was a much less intense event than it is today, but networks and studios still saw the value of promoting new TV shows to fans. So, a few months before the premiere of the miniseries that re-launched “Battlestar Galactica,” creator Ronald D. Moore and cast members Edward James Olmos, Jamie Bamber, and Katee Sackhoff, sat on a raised platform in one of the venue’s smaller conference rooms.

They screened the trailer. And then they ate a lot of crap. Although the original “Battlestar Galactica” premiered in 1978 for just one season, the audience was rooted in debating the old version, and why the Sci-Fi Channel (as it was then known) wanted to reboot the show.

The mood did lighten a bit when Sackhoff, cast as the gender-swapped character of Starbuck, addressed how much her role would resemble the one originally played by Dirk Benedict as a womanizing,

‘Brexit’ Trailer: Bald Benedict Cumberbatch Wants the UK to Leave the EU

Not even 30 months removed from one of the most significant political moments in British history, there’s already a movie about it.

“Brexit,” on its way to HBO early next year, stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Dominic Cummings, which the film posits as one of the instrumental figures behind the outcome of the 2016 referendum. Cummings was a strategist for the Leave campaign, which swayed voters into opting to exit the United Kingdom’s existing membership in the European Union.

The film reunites Cumberbatch with director Toby Haynes. The pair worked together on “Sherlock,” for which Haynes was behind the camera for the series highlight “The Reichenbach Fall.” Haynes also went on to direct the Emmy-winning (and IndieWire list-topping) “USS Callister” installment of “Black Mirror.”

Even with the focus on behind-the-scenes maneuvering, this trailer still has plenty of the notable figures from the Brexit saga. Former London mayor Boris Johnson makes more than one appearance,
