South African filmmaker Richard Stanley is currently enjoying a years-later career revival thanks to The Color Out of Space, a new film based on H.P. Lovecraft’s classic short story. Stanley’s adaptation stars Nicolas Cage as an eccentric, alpaca-raising patriarch whose family’s members all lose their minds after they’re exposed to an alien meteorite.
